Maybe the best coaching move of CMP's career...

I mean, I certainly will take him over most analysts. Most are awful because they are just fired coaches who blabber and don't actually know much - remember Bob Knight read off rosters and clearly never saw teams play.
As long as DD isn't Dickie V I'm fine with hearing him call games.

the game doesnt even come down to that last drive by ce if haas didnt leave so many points around the basket, not to mention the tech. he is very frustrated and frustrating to watch him miss shots from point blank range.

I thought the move that saved the game was the sub of Spike and Mathias for PJT and CE. Both came in fresh and let the team go on the run. The stats are rarely there for Spike but he plays a huge role in letting PJT get a little rest throughout the game by being a competent back up. Spike getting 10-12 minutes for the rest of the season is fine with me. I still having the image of PJT being absolutely exhausted at the end of the minne game in regulation and knew we had to have spike back. Credit to Painter for playing Spike after his injury knowing he was critical as a solid backup.
Side note: DD is an excellent color guy. He and Steven Bardo are by far my favorites.
I love stats in a general sense, but in basketball sometimes those stats are a function of coaching and team roles. Spike has not shot well this year and was reluctant to shoot many times. Yesterday he let one go early and missed, but he was looking more than previous games. Spike on the ball defensively can be scary...if the ball is an offensive minded scorer. Still, I don't worry about Spike on offense. He has good vision and is a stabilizer...and as the season goes forward it won't surprise me if he finds a stroke

Jockitch couldn't carry Bardo's balls.

Hopefully he is finally healthy enough to practice regularly and get in the gym for extra work on his shot. Just needs reps. If he could some how get to the threat he was in his 2nd and 3rd year at Michigan, that will make us all the harder to defend. Reps reps reps.

Yes. Tough day for IH. 3 of 10. On the other hand, CE was only 4 of 12 and 0-3 on 3s.
