Maui Brackets

My Gawd ... the story lines ... There could be 24 articles about the different teams/coaches/players.

Gonzaga will be good - not as good as the 2019-2021 stretch where they were awesome, but they will be good.

Bart Torvik's preseason metrics for every team in the field

Purdue - 1
Kansas - 2
Tennessee - 5
Gonzaga - 12
Marquette - 17
UCLA - 27
Syracuse - 136 (worse than Minnesota...woof)

Hopefully we don't have to play Chaminade... lol

We have shown in a crowded field, for the last couple of years, that we surprise people in the early season tournaments. We play inspired basketball. I think we can do it again. We all know the biggest question is end of the regular season tournaments.

Is this before or after Gonzaga landed that big time Kansas transfer? Forget his name. Happened just last week.

I am pretty sure he updates regularly, but not 100% sure in the offseason. I don't think a top50ish incoming freshman moves the needle much, metric wise

Gonzaga will be in reload mode and probably down a bit as they lost their top 3 scorers. They only have 2 starters coming back from last year, and one of them we didn't even guard when he was out there (Watson). Also their key bench players are gone too, with two of them transferring out to Wake Forest.

Ben Gregg will prob be the starter at the 5 and he had some success against Edey nailing a couple of 3's on him, but I think he fouled out in about 8 mins of playing time.

Boilers should take this
