That is not fair to Ferentz, as, he had some genuine national success along the way and Iowa was genuinely a national power for a couple of seasons with him at the helm.

Well so was Purdue with Hummel, Moore, and Johnson. However those teams were plagued with torn acl's and heartbreak.
