I was looking at the all-state team and started watching video on different players. He's a junior LB. Does anyone know if we are recruiting him? Tried to find more info. on him but couldn't find anything. Looks pretty solid from the highlights I've seen.

It's true though highlight films are just that highlights, can make the most average of players look great. If you can't find any info on him (rivals, 247, scout) i have no idea where you'd look.

There are plenty of all state players that look good on film that dont warrant a B1G offer. We will see if he makes a name for himself on the camp circuit this summer.

All I can say about this is that a good highlight tape can catch a recruiter's eye, leading to follow up. I am sure that weak highlight tapes don't bring a second look.

This kid plays for Laporte and my son plays for their biggest rival Michigan City. So i have seen him play several times. Also i did scoring for an Ignite 360 combine last spring in which this kid was participating. The high school program lists him at 6'4" and i think 210 -215 lbs. I know that these stats are always inflated. I would say he is 6'2 maybe 6'3" max and the weight is pretty close to correct. At the combine i did timing for the 40 yd. and while i don't remember his time exactly, i believe it to be in the high 4's. He looked kind of lumbering as he ran. He plays LB for Laporte. I personally don't see him as BIG material, maybe DII. Just my thoughts from what i have seen of him.

Holding a stopwatch and watching a kid play from the stands and then say he's D2 material is hardly a good interpretation of what a kid can do. I have seen this kid play as well. All I can say is impressive, he will and SHOULD get D1 looks.

OK Mr. First post! It was just my opinion and i timed him at a combine. So i saw him up close and not just from the stands so no need to get all hard about it. Geez!

Haha! Not trying to be hard about it, I understand its just your opinion. As that's all anybody can offer on here. But I do believe that he is a very good athlete and right up there with the best in the state. I'll try and get my post count up for ya...

Well, I guarantee you, if he's any good, "coach" hazell's crack recruiting team will find him!!!...
