When your offense is meant to run through the post.. You have to have shooters surrounding the five position. When the opposing team doesn't have an ultra quick point guard Dakota should play the 1. Davis had zero points tonight and fouled out from the shooting guard position. That should never happen.! Especially from a senior. Hill Davis vince and biggie shouldn't ever be on the floor at the same time let alone our staring lineup.. Especially against a zone!

Oh dear.... Stephens is not a shooting guard as he cannot shoot (35%) nor can he guard.

hill and davis...thats who we have now. ks and dm and aj and biggie and vince should play 30 a game. aj possibly more.

Look at Davis' stats the last three games
That is the elephant in the room, as he has been killing Purdue on the offensive end, and he has not even been helping it at the other end for that matter. He is not a shooting guard (and that should be abundantly clear at this point), and he is not a stopper at the defensive end either any longer...time to recognize that as well.

Mathias should be starting in his place and he should be in a rotation for minutes with Edwards specifically, and really, with Edwards and Swanigan.

As is being discussed on another thread, we have no proven "go to" guy. I think Mathias can become that, but only with significant playing time and the coaches giving him that freedom.

Youre an idiot to say Davis isn't a defensive stopper

He's not. Played 21 minutes. Didn't score, and the guys he guarded torched us. I don't know why we still try to hang our hat on defense. It's obvious the league does not want defense and if the game is going to be officiated the way it was last night, there's no point in sacrificing offense for defense.

You're in idiot not to think he's not the same after the knee injury. Look at the games since his been back...he's been torched

While overly harsh and aggressive in tone, the statement is true. Davis was always a grinder that was a little slow, the little bit of quickness and athleticism he hasn't gotten back yet are really showing.

The good news is that it's early January and this team will make the tournament. Plenty of time to get things figured out for a run.

Just stop with Mathias at the one. Guarantee the top 25 coaches in America would not play Mathias at the one for more than a minute or two.... Unless I was the only other option.
