From what I read, everything about Cleaves is that he is a nice guy. These incidents are always so unfortunate. My rule of thumb is that if there was any sex and they argue whether willing or not willing that Cleaves is guilty. He should not be fooling with a child of 24. If no sex, then Cleaves should not settle and fight to the end and clear his reputation.
This allegations are preposterous. Justice will be served and he will be cleared of all wrong doing.

That's essentially the "Yes means Yes" movement ... which is alive and well on many campuses. I am sure this is where campus life is going .. for athletes definitely, for others, probably.

I'd be beyond pissed if I were Izzo. His son bears Mateen's name and the facts of this case do not sound good for Cleaves. Dude very well might be up sh!ts creek without a paddle.
Somebody had mentioned that earlier about the name thing. I wasn't aware of that. Does anybody else think that seems weird to name your kid after a college player? I get that it was a big deal for Izzo in 2000 but would you name your kid after a player? If this goes south, I'm sure Izzo will regret it if he doesn't already.
I think it just goes to show how close of a coach/player relationship those two had. Izzo looked at Mateen as almost a son, and I'm sure vice versa with Mateen. Izzo has to feel as disappointed as he ever has in regards to a current or former player because of strong their relationship is/was.
