Mark Titus: State of B1G hoops

Yeah, it's a bit overly dramatic on the negativity. Other than the one he mentioned (2003-2004), I thought that the 1995-1996 season was one of the weaker ones for the conference as a whole since the inception of the 3PT shot. Penn State tied for 2nd place that season and even as a 12 year-old, I didn't really think that particular Purdue team deserved a #1 seed.

I also have to disagree with Titus about the rap videos: I saw one with two Wisconsin walk-ons a couple of years ago where they were rapping to the theme of "Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air", haha.

Mark Titus' latest article is interesting but a downer. I didn't realize he grew up an IU fan. He is completely right about not rooting for conference teams in the post season. Unless you enjoy the bragging about five banners, of course.

It's a matter of opinion. How can he be "completely right"?

Regardless, after his remark about Painter, the depressed douchebag can go forward without me reading anything he writes.

B1G doesn't have a dominant team this year, that is it. If Purdue, Wisc, Maryland were MSU, OSU, and IU I bet we would have at least 1 team ranked in the top 10.

That's fair. Purdue and Wisconsin have been the closest things to it.

Switching over to a thought on the B1G Tourney, Minnesota's been playing like they did when they upset the Boilers. They could be dangerous. Also, most of us probably thought Illinois was really bad, but they've been playing better lately (starting to play up to their actual ability level). They could surprise in the conference tourney as well.
