Notre Dame is picking it apart, just like they did in 2014 and 2012. Painter needs to switch to a 2-3, 1-3-1, a triangle and 2, full-court pressing or something else because like I've been saying for a long time, they are not going to win this game by playing their man-to-man defense. Notre Dame's offense is tailored-made for picking a man-to-man defense like Purdue's and they know it.

No. ND will just continue to shoot over it like you do with any zone. Seriously how can you be so dense and set in your ways that you can't see that?
It's also called strategy, tactics, or scheming. Notre Dame under Brey knows how to pick apart Purdue's man-to-man under Painter (and Keady). Purdue needs to switch defenses to keep ND off-balance because right now, they're putting on a clinic on how to beat Purdue's man-to-man.

In this case, Haas matched up poorly. I'm a big Isaac fan, but sitting him in the second half was the right adjustment.
