No way. Purdue is absolutely terrible against athletic teams like Baylor. They would be really tough against the press and quick in the paint. I'd rather play Virginia. They have a really tough time scoring and I think our offense is balanced enough to out score them, even if they are good on defense.

I've wanted to match up with Virginia for the past few years to see how Purdue does. Hasn't happened but I would not be afraid of that matchup even considering how good their defense is. They strike me as a team Purdue would do well against that most others would struggle with(like Wisconsin)

Virginia is more in the Wisconsin mode. Tony Bennett played for his father, Dick Bennett, whose later coaching stops included Wisconsin. Also, Virginia had a couple of really good teams knocked out by Michigan State.

IMO, it would be an interesting battle....and hard fought game.....one Purdue could win but no push-over or surety either.
