I don't know for sure, but it seems we've lost Boilerbabe and Dakota Girl, as well as the well-respected Illinois fan from the previous group ... and I think some others this year. As I approach 80, life is becoming far more valuable.
Auggie85 has been off for maybe 2 yrs. Check out the gen disc board maybe their there seems like alot of posters like to squabble about political nonsense instead of talking sportsI don't know for sure, but it seems we've lost Boilerbabe and Dakota Girl, as well as the well-respected Illinois fan from the previous group ... and I think some others this year. I went there once, never going back. I was shocked at what people I really enjoy in this group were saying.Auggie85 has been off for maybe 2 yrs. Check out the gen disc board maybe their there seems like alot of posters like to squabble about political nonsense instead of talking sports
Ain't that the truth. I remember that board 15 years or so ago, and while it was contentious and ultimately I got tired of participating my God it was nothing compared to now.I went there once, never going back. I was shocked at what people I really enjoy in this group were saying.
Dude you've been here five minutes of course it seems the same to youSeems the same to me. They like to argue and berate people. What’s the difference? Were you on the receiving end instead of doing the berating? The lack of moderation is the same as it is here!
YES!!!! That's who I meant.Des was a huge loss this past year, I’ve talked to that man since the Old Gold Free Press days.
Only you would make a thread about losing people (most to death) about you. You're hands down the biggest POS on this forum and that includes all the Indinia fans that come here.Seems the same to me. They like to argue and berate people. What’s the difference? Were you on the receiving end instead of doing the berating? The lack of moderation is the same as it is here!
You're 80??!!?? By your pic I'd say you weren't a day over 32. Healthy living, I guess.As I approach 80,
Botox!!!! and I'm approaching 80, not there yet. You're 80??!!?? By your pic I'd say you weren't a day over 32. Healthy living, I guess.
Well in that spirit, I'm approaching 1000!Botox!!!! and I'm approaching 80, not there yet.
I was or am hopeful that they have a new moniker on the other site, but you are correct . Hopefully, they will see this and respond. In a blink of the eye, things can change for a lot of people. So many gatherings I took for granted 30 years ago totally unaware of how special those times were and how special they were with family and friends. As I said previously even with the disagreements we share a bond for Purdue and wish for the best and if a poster posts a lot, we get an idea...a perception of that person that lets us know a little about them. Pitbull was another...I don't know for sure, but it seems we've lost Boilerbabe and Dakota Girl, as well as the well-respected Illinois fan from the previous group ... and I think some others this year. My nephew is close, but you have him beat!I’m 54 with a 1 year old kid, bet not many can match that lol. Little Nick might end up being a Cubs fan but there’s zero chance he’s not a Boilermaker fan!
Yea, that’s what happens when you marry someone 15 years younger, it’s keeping me on my toes, I retired from the trades at 50My nephew is close, but you have him beat!
My friend was like you and when his son graduated high school his classmates asked why is your grandpa only here with your mom?I’m 54 with a 1 year old kid, bet not many can match that lol. Little Nick might end up being a Cubs fan but there’s zero chance he’s not a Boilermaker fan!
Trust me, I thought of the graduation stuff lol. Are you in your 70’s? I thought you were around my age, maybe a little older. I had you as a Bo Cucuz/Milan Petrovic LC aged guy lolMy friend was like you and when his son graduated high school his classmates asked why is your grandpa only here with your mom?
Dude all I can say being that "potent" that at 54...... BRAVO BROTHER!I’m 54 with a 1 year old kid, bet not many can match that lol. Little Nick might end up being a Cubs fan but there’s zero chance he’s not a Boilermaker fan!
My wife's baby brother is 60. He's a contractor working in the aviation industry abd has lived in Taiwan for ten years. He married a girl in her mid-30s. While battling cancer he became a father for the first time. He is in remission and his son just turned one. He owns a house in Pensacola and one at Tecumseh Bend. The intent is to be living back her by summer.I’m 54 with a 1 year old kid, bet not many can match that lol. Block the idiot. I did. Life is too short.Only you would make a thread about losing people (most to death) about you. You're hands down the biggest POS on this forum and that includes all the Indinia fans that come here.
I've been through two wars and have seen people burning to death and in immense pain from being shot and they cried and complained less than you do. You're a self-entitled, lying crybaby of epic proportions.
I just turned 70 so now officially an old geezer.Trust me, I thought of the graduation stuff lol. Are you in your 70’s? I thought you were around my age, maybe a little older. I had you as a Bo Cucuz/Milan Petrovic LC aged guy lol
You are 100% correct on all counts.Block the idiot. I did. Life is too short.
I've often thought someone like @Purdue Grad in Texas who is quick and good with the computer would be an ideal person to have a database with our names, address and phone number should we get deathly sick to let him know should we be absent for a while to post an obit and possibly supply addresses if one wanted to send a card to the family but have never offered that perspective to him before.I don't know for sure, but it seems we've lost Boilerbabe and Dakota Girl, as well as the well-respected Illinois fan from the previous group ... and I think some others this year. Ha .. I'm unaware of not liking anyone in the forums. I share more things with some more than others on issues of importance or just general perceptions on a variety of topics, but really think the vast majority of people I find a lot of agreement and that is all you can expect. Each of us has our own understandings based upon our own passive or active experiences that provides differences and yet we all share that common bond. This is a good group of people that I enjoy exchanging ideas with on a variety of topics. I even have Kim whose parents were IU fans and gradually moving towards Purdue seeing ballgames with children having IU sweatshirts and proclaiming child abuse as a result. She is full go Boiler. ...but IU sucks covers a lot of territory .Ha .. Like a "If you're reading this, I'm dead... and IU still sucks"

I didn’t know I had it in me, first time trying as well, what luck lolDude all I can say being that "potent" that at 54...... BRAVO BROTHER!
I thought 57-58, you still live in the region?I just turned 70 so now officially an old geezer.
Yep unfortunately still here. Currently trying to settle my wife’s mother’s estate. She had a trust for whatever reason as her assists were very small. We are getting our stuff organized so our kids don’t have to go through what my wife is doing now. Unless you have over 7 million in assets don’t get a trust. They are not worth the money these attorneys charge for them.I thought 57-58, you still live in the region?
Just keep on keepin' onWell in that spirit, I'm approaching 1000!
