Was in the house for the Louisville game Tuesday and passed away Wednesday. Always enjoyed his column in the Journal and Courier. Peace to his surviving family.

Read a lot of his work over the years. Glad he got to see a big victory for his last game...
RIP Jeff. Read a lot of his Journal and Courier (Purdue and local high school) content over the years. In fact, I grew up on it and the first thing I always looked for when finding a new J&C was his work in the sports section. Followed his work to his other companies as well. Media business changed a lot, but Jeff's work was something I looked forward to. He was also a good guest on Dakich's radio show whenever he was on.

Very sad to hear of his passing; really enjoyed his work. It's a small comfort, but yes, at least he spent a good part of his remaining time doing what he loved and getting to see one more win from the Boilermakers.

I saw Wash at the high school football games being played in Ross-Ade. Sat and talked to him for a moment....sad to hear of his passing. He was a great writer and one that'll be missed by all Boilermakers. RIP Wash.

Jeff Washburn was a pro and a Boilermaker. His going leaves a big void in journalism and Mackey Arena.
Also got to see us get the Bucket back and become bowl eligible in his last Purdue football game.
