Almost like the two aren’t mutually exclusive.

Almost like a kid can get paid and still be a competitive, team-oriented, winning player.

Pardon the snark. I agree. He seemed like he would be a good fit for. us but in the end it looks like the money just overcame his basic nature. How many of us could have looked that kind of money in the eye and said, no thanks.

I watched 4-5 of his games this year and he never struck me as a mercenary.
