If you overstay your visa, which is illegal, means that you were once here in the US with a visa, which is legal, due to work or school at the least.

He came in "legally" under Biden, but then violated by overstating his VISA, which made him illegal. He later was given a work permit, while being in illegal status. The work permit expired. He was here illegally, and Mayorkas did nothing to track or remove said "illegals". Mayor kashmir was Biden's "see nothing" guy, so it all goes back to Biden and his border policies.
Big deal. The whole country was a sanctuary country under Biden/Harris/Mayorkas.
