Thanks for the bump! I am hearing a number of rumors about Les Miles being names the next Purdue coach. With who he can potentially bring in as his staff, it could mean a seismic shift for the University and the AD in terms of showing they are behind creating a program that is able to win.
If MBob wanted a way to truly distance himself from his predecessor's total lack of ability over the last 10 years, he does it with a hire like this where he puts every coach on notice that he isn't afraid and has the ability to get a well known coach.
I am hopeful that MBob is already speaking to potential women's bball coaches because as bad as football has been...the sinking of the women's bball program has been equally as bad. Missing out on Stephanie White and not firing Versyp last year was a joke...hopefully MBob can lure her back to campus or go get Katie Geralds (who just led her team to a national title).
