Just want ya'll to be thankful Painter is at Purdue

Kind of curious, knowing your situation will you go back to being an IU fan when the clown is fired?

Not judging either way just curious what you will do.

Nope. Been too long now. I really like what Painter is doing here and I've learned to enjoy just watching the game.

And he's not going to get fired Joe. He's still selling out Ass Hall and right now there are no scandals. Ol' Fred loves the guy.

Assembly hall was selling out the year we won 6 games. That doesn't mean anything. And it doesn't really matter what Glass likes. The boosters ultimately run the program, and I can't imagine the Cooks, Simons, Cuban, or Mellencamp like what they're seeing.

After tonight's performance Glass may let Tom Allen take a shot at coaching basketball. Wow, this is some poor defense.

Even as an IU fan, I am enjoying watching Crean take a beating. I hate it for the players. They are good kids. They just got tricked by this guy.
He's not going anywhere man. Unless he chooses to do so. He lost OG this year and that gives him another excuse. IU fired a legend who was on the verge of hanging another one, they hired Davis who was not a Big Ten level coach, Sampson was a cheater, and Crean was on the verge of being ran out of Marquette according to my son's friend who at the time was Program Director of the station that broadcast Marquette games. He's got nine lives and he's still got seven to burn. IU deserves him for a long time to come. Personally, I love seeing the Voodoo Lady's curse still working and I'm guessing ol' Robert Montgomery is laughing is arse off.

Dude, Fred Glass has to extend him at the end of the season. If he does, he will need to hire personal bodyguards. Crean gets booed in Assembly Hall already. And it hasnt gotten as bad as its going to get.

Got no choice but to re up him. Steve will never come back, Bennett told them to pound sand because the way they treated his sister, Brad is getting the Celtics going, so who would follow this train wreck. In case you don't know it, IU is just another program right now with a lot of distant memories they're trying to cling to. Even Mike Davis wouldn't come back and he's a better coach than Crean. Ironic that IU fans are hating the guy and PU fans are rooting for him to get a 10 year extension. :D

You are a F-ing idiot if you believe that. Wow.

Don't worry TD2. We will take you back on the bandwagon in a few years.
Nope. The IU I knew and loved will never be back. There will always be gray clouds over Bloomington now. Just fine watching da' Boilers and I'm guessing since your here so much that you'll be asking permission to be a Boiler before long. Enjoy Crean because you were sure happy to get him.

BTW....you're boy just said the following regarding tonight's loss: “We didn’t see it coming, I know that,” Crean said on postgame radio. “Our preparation was good. There’s no excuse for that.” “Frankly, I had some of the wrong people in there,” Crean said. “We’ve got to figure out how that’s going to work, and it’s not just freshman. We’re going to have to figure out how that’s going to work moving forward.”

And then he said this: I’m not going to make any excuses, I’m not going to single anybody out. I’m just going to say it wasn’t anywhere close to what it needed to be.”

He sure is smart isn't he!

I'm wondering why on earth you would be listening to a post game radio interview of Crean? I'd rather have my finger nails pulled out.

His pressers have been a train wreck since day one. He meanders from one thing to another, throwing a basketball term here and there to make it sound credible. Sometimes I would wonder if I had watched the same game he was talking about. Being condescending to reporters who probably know as much about the game as he does.
I'd mention to my IU friends how silly the pressers were, how Crean didn't seem to really understand what was going on. Of course I was an idiot, he's winning so he's a genius. They now have come around.
I mean, all you had to do was really listen to what he was saying. He probably knows basketball more than he sounds like he does.........maybe.......but he can't talk about it nor can he coach it. My favorite was when he would switch from man to man to zone in the same possession.
I knew he was nothing but a self promoter when he did his encore after the Illinois? game years ago. What self respecting coach would do that? IU fans loved it, made excuses for it..........they would have ripped any other coach for doing it. Totally blind to what he represents.

Twin, I see you post on here all the time. Did you used to be an IU fan? What made you switch to the good side?

Are you doubting this man's ability to turn things around?

Die Hard IU Fan for years. Saw my first IU game when Branch was coaching. What made me switch.....Davis, Sampson, Crean, and my late wife's love of the Boilers. My son played a couple of games against Painter and I always liked the way he played and his attitude. Took a lot of time to be honest that I like what I see with Matt.

That's cold Boiler2.....just f'n cold. And so wrong in so many ways. Courtsense was/is a Davis fan, a Sampson fan, and a Crean fan.

TD2, I am sorry to say that you are wrong. Even (lack of) courtsense seems to have given up on His Royal Majesty Tom Crean. (insert Queen reference here.)

Don't feel too bad, w all make errors occasionally.

Is it adopt-a-hoosier week on this board?.... Because there's a bunch of orphans over on IU's board... I've posted on this board before.... I've been a life long IU fan... I can no longer watch IU while they have Tom Crean at the helm... so, all three of my kids are currently or have been Purdue students... 2 active / 1 graduate... I've invested more in Purdue University than IU... therefore I don't feel there's any problem with finishing out the season watching Purdue play real basketball... I won't crack on any of your players or your coach, I just have to be reminded what real basketball is suppose to look like... I appreciate your hospitality...

Arcb....when they hired Davis I said, "He will never make it". When they hired Sampson I told the IU faithful, "Within two years he'll have IU on probation." When they hired Crean, I told the IU faithful again that "He'll never win a National title at IU". Courtsense and so many others disagreed with me then. IU is now just another program that will not catch lightening in a bottle again. No Alford, no Stevens, no Huggy Bear, no Marshall, no Archie Miller....no one wants to follow the three stooges. I loved watching Knight and Keady go at it year after year....but they're never coming back and were special coaches in a special era.

I used to think maybe IU could make a comeback but no more. Sure they have banners but so does Cincy and a lot of other schools. Nobody thinks the others are entitled to greatness just because they had a great distant past. Recruiting to W. Lafy is not easy. The IU faithful believe their campus is heaven. Nice place but it isn't really that easy to get to and they have no more glamour and excitement to offer a recruit than most schools and a lot less than some. I see no reason why they would ever attract the kind of star coach they seem to delusionally believe they can land. Everybody has money so that's not a big advantage. There are 3 or 4 more desirable locations to coach just within the B1G.

We promise not to give you the Courtsense treatment. Hopefully we Fort you on the bandwagon and keep you there
