currently the HC at Fordham, 42 yrs. old, in 2011 took over a 1-11 team to 6-5 in 2012, has a 37-13 record and runs a wide open offense.

why in the world would he come to be an oc. he keeps doing what he is doing he will get a head coaching job at a fbs school

it's a step up and plus w/ the lame duck coach we have now, he could move right in when DH gets canned after next year.

But this is the problem Purdue faces. Let's say a coordinator comes in and that side of the ball shows good progress, which will probably result in some wins. Then, Hazell doesn't get canned.

He isn't a major conference head coach quality just yet. He'll probably go to a MAC, American, etc. type of school if anywhere.

very rare that the oc becomes the head coach when the head coach is fired. so want a guy to take a job as oc when it looks like the head coach will be fired next year. most good oc will not

Another example that it does not take 4 years to turn around a program.
I know he's from the Patriot League, but will not get a guy like Norvell from ASU, Moorhead took over a 1-10 team in '11 to 6-5 in '12 then 3 straight FCS entries.

Why would anyone competent take the coordinator job?

If they do well the they only prolong an incompetent head coach.

There will be interest, but once again we will experience "winner's curse". If we can get them, we do not really want them. The lack of stability and success for the head coach at Purdue cast a huge black cloud on these positions.

To fix this, the whole gang will have to go, and that includes Morgan. He is not an AD that up and coming coaches wish to work alongside.
