I'll never forget a guy called in to the Gene Keady radio show and asked what a Boilermaker was. Gene replied "it's a person who makes boilers...how dumb can you be?"

It is both a drink and a profession. A shot of whiskey followed by or in a glass of beer or someone who makes Boilers. A nickname given Purdue after an early Purdue Football teams players were big and tough!
