Good for him. It's nice to see a coach staying loyal.
Plus, I've often thought the Texas job looks better on the surface than in reality. No doubt it's a great university, great town, major financial resources, and great recruiting.
But it also seems like a tough place to keep players focused and to live up to expectations. That seems to have caught up with both Mack Brown and Rick Barnes.

Yes but that deal could have potentially thrown J Brunson back on the market. We were in his top 5. Would have been a long shot but crazier things have happened (see: Isaac Haas)
