Jaden to Memphis?

Not sure how highly JI is thought of within the Piston organization, but as successful as that team’s season has been this year, I can see them considering a move for an efficient, productive and playoff experienced veteran.

JI had a very good season through 30 games and should be able to bring a terrific return to the Pistons. I personally see him being a bit stifled (Edith) playing with Cunningham. He might welcome a move to a more, pass first oriented PG.

It actually makes some sense. I've felt like Ivey and Cunningham don't play well together for whatever reason. Cunningham really took off this year, coincidence or not, after Ivey got hurt. He's dominating now.

Now, I don't think trading Morant is necessarily a good thing for Zach, but pairing him back up with Ivey might be the best swap. The question for Memphis is whether Scotty Pippen Jr is ready for a lead role. Then your starting 5 is Pippen, Ivey, Bane, JJJ and Zach.

Would be awesome to see Zach and Jaden on the same team...again.
Both Morant and Cunningham are completely ball dominant guards. No way they co-exist. And gutting the pistons future for 1 player is not where the Pistons are. Nice growing young team that needs a couple more pieces.
I think Jaden may well be traded for other pieces, but not for another pg when this is Cunningham's team.
Grizzleys have an excellent young team but something is going on there. They were the best team in the West and it all went south even after getting Jaren Jackson Jr back. Morant has turned into a pretty excellent teammate ON THE FLOOR this season, forgoing some of his scoring and showing superb passing ability. Amazing athlete, beyond Jaden I think. But if lockerrom troubles are the problem someones got to go.

Yeah. You have to wonder if an actual NBA-watching human wrote this…

Loosely kept tabs of Memphis this year due to Zach being on the team. Morant was out A LOT. Bane was out quite a bit at the beginning of the year. Memphis likely would have had a much higher seed had they been healthier throughout the year.

And if they figured out how to fully utilize Zach.

Just a speculative article that is throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. So likely there will be a million of these articles about every team in the NBA and then nothing will happen.
So is actually typing "TIC" still required? Thought it was obvious. Apparently not.

If Memphis can get that much for him they'd be stupid not to make the deal. Morant is probably the most overrated player in the NBA. He's as soft as a feather pillow. Punch him in the mouth early and he'll disappear. He's a team chemistry killer. He'll never win a championship unless he manages to get on a team with several future hall of famers to carry the load.

Where you a teammate or coach? Cuz otherwise that's some wild speculation. I've been watching them all season and soft is not a word I would describe Morant with.

I’ve tried to like/understand the pro game— because of the Purdue kids who have made it to the pinnacle….

But IMO the NBA is unwatchable - like pro wrestling, it is a compilation of skilled athletes engaging in made-for-TV nonsense.

The 3 point shot has killed the nba.

The political/social aspect killed it for me. When you have spoiled billionaires like lebron acting like they’re victims of American society, that’s just not something I can get behind.

Memphis would probably have to give up a bit. I'm sure Detroit is high on Ivey. Don't think Memphis would give up Bane for him.

I havent followed it much since the reggie miller era. However, i have so much respect for edey as an individual and what hes done for purdue i followed the grizzleys this year. Still horrible antics like you said but edey is cut from a different cloth. Guys tried to punk him all year and found out what hes about. His team mates respect the hell out of him. Rookies dont usually get the kind of love he got from his team mates this year. Hes a throw back and if the league were smart they would be putting him on some of their billboards to offer an alternative to some of the guys they push.

Absolutely. Like the spoiled babies Trump and Musk then.
Very well said!
Amazing how many people they snow.
