It was interesting that he did not mention Milton Wright when he talked about next season’s corp of receivers. Innocent omission or sign that he‘s done? Would love to see him get over the academic hurdles.

Was going to post the same message, I would encourage Purdue fans to read the article because it really makes one glad to support "kids" like Jackson. Really happy that his final season was a success both for himself and the team.

Quite a stretch to get to "head cases". Reads much more as a more experienced guy giving an honest assessment and a kind of brotherly advice as well.
If a teammate is publicly calling another teammate a loose cannon or saying they need to keep their head down and focus, it isn't much of a stretch.

Well, I don't know about Burks. But Sheffield has been kind of a head case, especially when you consider he bit a paramedic. That's probably why Anthrop said he needs to keep his head down...

Brohm hasn’t mentioned him either. I have a feeling he will not be participating in spring ball.
Pretty sure if he wasn’t eligible for the bowl game he won’t be eligible for Spring ball unless something happens like an incomplete gets changed to a passing grade. I just hope he takes care of business and gets back for the fall.
Spring ball is just practice, when did they stop players from practicing because of grades?

I guess stranger things have happened, but by all accounts he seems to enjoy being a Boiler. In addition, he goes into fall as the #1 receiver on the team imo and will have the opportunity to put up huge numbers...the kind of stats which should make him a solid NFL draft pick.
I predict he buckles down in the classroom and comes out Ballin in the fall.

Ballard has completely whiffed on all the key positions on the roster. Missing a LT, WR, TE, CB, Edge, etc etc. He’s so overrated.
But hey we’ve got an All Pro Guard, RB and LB !!
I dont think that is correct. Keith Smith was ineligible for a year and played WR the whole time on scout time.

I can't say for sure, I seem to remember other playes not participating in spring ball due to grades. I found this on the Lehigh U. site regarding NCAA regulations.
A student on probation, or one who drops below 12 credits in a semester, becomes immediately ineligible. The student on probation is not eligible to represent the University in games, participate in practices or scrimmages (inseason or off-season). Mandatory conditioning programs that are a part of team practice sessions are also prohibited.

Anthrop is the last of a breed of true college football players - the game, err I mean "business", has quickly changed.
I’d guess 4.7, but I don’t think 40 time is quite as important as initial burst and change of direction for slots, so i’d look more at the 10 yard time and the cone drill type stuff.
