this explains why the selection committee "disrespected" the conference. any bb fan knows that iu is not a very good team. yet they won the conference outright. we know the easy schedule and other reasons but they won. you can give the selection committee a break when you think about this

What is funny is on Mike and Mike this morning, they brought up the unbalanced schedule and the regular season crown. Basically reiterating things that have been said on here about how the crown is cheapened a bit by not playing each other twice.

The whole big ten got sort of a diss. Almost like the btt was irrelevant for the most part. But then again, we rarely get any love.

Purdue got a hose job for certain. I thought they had probably played themselves onto the three line. That said, Purdue's road to the sweet sixteen looks like something they should be able to manage quite nicely. Good luck.

i agree, i think purdue got hosed more than IU. look at IU's pre conference schedule, it was ridiculous (McNeese ST, who's that).... and they lost ALL decent opponents, then the big ten schedule of IU was a complete joke and the committee knew it from what im hearing now, a total joke to the point where they were just shaking their heads

Thanks Bend. While our seeding isn't great, like you said we have a decent shot at the sweet 16.

Good luck as well. This year above all else in think the B1G needs to do well as a whole just to shut people up.

decent shot? c'mon, its a great shot, and beyond

Painter said IU should have been a three seed...
I happen to agree with this. IU at a three seed makes sense. IU got shafted with thier seeding. Maybe if last year, the BIG had put a couple teams into the FF, we would get more respect. Wait a minute..... WTF?

What I find ironic is that a week ago it was IU fans saying that they can't control the schedule and that they just beat who was on the schedule for the Big Ten title. Of course now that they don't find the schedule favorable they can't stop crying about it.

Which is it guys?

on one hand the B10 gets no respect but on the other, Mich. gets in and at an 11th? we have a good shot to get to the sweet 16 and we just got to play well with whomever we draw period.

Biased aside msu should have been a 1 IU a 3 and Purdue a 3 or 4. I'm not going to complain because I love the bracket! IU on the other hand is in quite the grinder with 3 conference champs within the sweet 16.
