Gee, FTs are important P-state!!!From the officiating, appears to be a road game for PSU.
Not watching it. So whats going on. iu does not have athletic guards. Is PSU not stretching out their D to take iu out of their offense?61-49 IU midway through the 2nd half…

Indinia Three Point % is @ 32.0% (#239) |
That helped them out big time.they played w/o Reneau too
Penn State has been good at the Palestra have they not? That helped them out big time.
PSU has good looking 3s too. PSU did not miss because of the IU defense.
PSU played themselves by playing at the Palestra…couldn’t shoot 😂
How many times have they played there this season?Penn State has been good at the Palestra have they not?
Big if trueBig Ten road win is a z big Ten road win. Gotta take any and all you can.
I agree. Great coach who always has his team ready to play when it matters.Extend Woodson!!
That ended up being treated as a road game for NET purposes for Purdue after initially being treated as neutral, IIRC.

They have a very tough stretch coming up. I wouldn’t bank on that yet.IU will end up making the tourney, who cares though, Purdue won!
Not so sure. They have the toughest conf schedule left and are going to have a tough tough stretch here. Don’t see how they get more than 6 more wins rest of way but I may be wrong.IU will end up making the tourney, who cares though, Purdue won!
Just a prediction, I hope they don’t make it, I think they’ll squeeze in though. They’re probably better off with Reneau, he doesn’t play a lick of defense and is one dimensional. They have a very tough stretch coming up. I wouldn’t bank on that yet.
We’ll see, not going to lie, I didn’t look at their remaining schedule. Being a name school that likely wins 10-12 Big Ten games my guess is they’ll get it.Not so sure. If they go 10-10 in conference, they better have some big wins and I wasn’t counting any of those when thinking they’d go 10-10. If they do that, they’re on the bubble for sure. We’ll see, not going to lie, I didn’t look at their remaining schedule. Yep. They only have 2 wins in the first 2 quadrants. They aren't even "Next 4 out" yet. The good news for them is they have plenty of Q1/A2 opportunities left to remedy that.Good win for them but they are 54 on Kenpom which is straight bubble. First Quad One win I believe. Plenty of work left for them to do. Let’s just beat them twice and take care of our own business.
Woody is not good and the IU schedule is very, very tough. The next week will not reveal much, but if they lose to USC and Iowa it could derail in a hurry. Or, beating both of those teams and getting to 4-1 in conference gives Woody a cushion to win 40% of the remaining games and still be a tourney team.Early season they had many new pieces. They are one of the most talented teams in the big and are starting to figure it out. The next few weeks will tell us if Woody can pull it off. His track record isn’t good.
Given the easy non-conference schedule and lack of signature wins, I don't think 10-10 in the B1G gets IU in the dance unless you win a couple of B1G tourney games.Woody is not good and the IU schedule is very, very tough. IU playing Rutgers without Dylan Harper was a huge break., though winning without Reneau at PSU against their full roster should be cause for optimism.
Penn St. losing to IU has them now projected as a NON-tournament team, followed by Northwestern, Indiana then Iowa. There's an easy way to portray this as 'glass half-full' for IU. That projection would mean a new staff is on the very near horizon. That's no guarantee of success (see previous IU hires) but at least it opens the door to the possibility of success.Penn St. losing to IU has them now projected as a NON-tournament team, followed by Northwestern, Indiana then Iowa. Agreed, 11-9 or maybe even 12-8 is needed. Reneau is one dimensional, he has a decent midrange game, he’s poor on defense and someone that clogs things up.Given the easy non-conference schedule and lack of signature wins, I don't think 10-10 in the B1G gets IU in the dance unless you win a couple of B1G tourney games.
It's funny. People outside the program have been saying for a couple of years that IU would be better going smaller. The Reneau injury forced that to happen and you look much better. Ballo had more room to move and Mbako looks much better as a stretch 4 than a 3. Good thing for the rest of the league that Woody isn't smart enough to realize that.
