Don’t think for a second that they’re not going to run the score up if they can on us…

That’s why it’s a rivalry.
They did whatever they wanted vs a better defensive team than us in UCLA…They are no ND, but I have little doubt they saw today's score and a drooling (more than usual) at the thought of playing us.
They have one of the easiest schedules there is and we sure aren't going to make it any harder.
Based on what, and that’s a broad statement? Our pass coverage actually looked ok with the exception of a couple busted plays and missed tackles. Our run defense was abysmal. They did whatever they wanted vs a better defensive team than us in UCLA…
They aren't that good and you are correct. Their schedule is an absolute joke. They will win some games because of that soft schedule, but they will also get beat down. Their fan base is god awful. Some will say they deserve it but iu has an easy big ten schedule this year to go with their 3 cupcakes. Instead of usc and Oregon they got UCLA and Washington. Swapped out Penn state for northwestern. They could easily go 9-3. Put final game could br our redemption game.
8 home games. Big year for geese droppings. Some will say they deserve it but iu has an easy big ten schedule this year to go with their 3 cupcakes. Yet many of our fans want to schedule the same way they do.They aren't that good and you are correct. Their schedule is an absolute joke. They will win some games because of that soft schedule, but they will also get beat down. Their fan base is god awful.
I don't pay or invest time in watching us play FCS teams. Be good enough to compete with your peers or become irrelevant. When you have 9 B1G games every year, and your goal is to build a winning program, it's simple pragmatism to schedule 3 winnable non-conf games. The B1G is going to test you one way or the other. There's no hiding at the end of the day.
Michigan won the national title a year after playing a weak non-conf schedule and it didn't hurt them in terms of making the playoff.
