Ok, bud....sure...whatever you say. You seem to make a bunch of bad assessments....truth.
50% is 50%. Either you can shoot or you can't. He's still shooting 50% against South Carolina, Louisville, Gonzaga and Providence. He's shooting 44.5% against Gonzaga and Louisville. Either way, he's shooting the 3 well this season. Last year around this time he was sub 30%.
What stats are you looking at? He's not 50% in 3 or total percentage. His last 3 games before today he was 38% and 28% total.

He didn't go 1-4 in any game during the tourney. He went 2-4, 2-5 and 4-7. Just accept you were wrong and move on. He's shooting 16-31 from 3 on the year. That's good. It's okay, even as a Purdue fan to say an IU player is good at something.

I can't help that you don't know how to read and 28% isn't good for any player.
Bruh, Mgbako is an average player. He isn’t good vs good competition when it matters. You know this. He’s below average on defense as well…little to no effort. We can pull up that play from X showing his effort. He’s just mid. It’s ok for an IU fan to admit their own player isn’t that good.
Oh he's a terrible defender. But you can deny he's a good 3pt shooter. Right now on the season he's shooting in the 50/50/90 club. And I'll take that. That's progress of some sort over last year. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't have a coach that knows how to take advantage of that.
When he can do that while actually beating a good team and not just in garbage time, I’ll give him credit.
Yea he struggled in 3 games before today. Good job cherry picking. On the entire year he's shooting 51.6% from 3. That's good. Against the P4 competition and Gonzaga he's shooting 44.5%. Against Louisville and Gonzaga he was 4-9(44.4%). So yea, good job cherry picking.
He's done most of that in regular time. The team sucking doesn't take away from the fact he can shoot. That's just what he's good at. It just happens to be the only thing he's good at.
How has he not shot the ball well on the year? Go ahead and explain how 54% FG, 51% 3 and 91% FT is not good.
Didn’t say that. I said he’s not doing against good competition in the flow of the game when IU is actually in it. He has hit his 3s against good comp when game is out of hand and those teams dgaf if he shoots or not.

Gonzaga - he was 1/4 until he made his second one with 1:57 left in the game—he cut the deficit to 87-69
Louisville - 1/3 until he made the second one with 4:22 left in the game cutting the cardinal lead to 82-50
Very similar to Chris Paul hitting a 3 to cut lead down to 42 vs the mavs
2-5 and 2-4 is still just that. He still had to shoot it and it still had to go in.
What is there to ignore? He shot 9 and hit 4. You can try and disclaimer them but that's not how it works. He still shot 44.4% against UofL and the Zags. I don't know why it hurts you that he's shooting those percentages this year. 54.5% FG, 51.6% 3pt and 91.3% FT. That's good. Now if he could just play a little bit of defense. Like Jordy Hull or Nick Zeisloft level or close to it, he'd be fine.
I can’t believe you are lingering here fighting each of these counterpoints. At first I thought we were picking on you and you just wouldn’t take the bait but clearly you need to take a chill pill. Most of us aren’t arguing with the facts, that he made a high clip of 3s and they were against good teams. But he made a lot of them in garbage time. 50% is hard to hit but we’ve seen guys in practice make 10 in a row (or last night a horrible 3 shooting ole miss make 5 in a row because we schematically allowed them to get open). It’s different when you are being defended. You know all that but just can’t be told you are wrong.
And I am saying that the disclaimer of "it was in garbage time" doesn't matter. He still hit them. What's the difference between hitting shots down 20 compared to up 20? Both are garbage time right? So do we throw away stats in garbage time for a team that's up by 20 as well? Why does any disclaimer or asterisk need to be used?
Up or down 20, the defensive pressure eases up, as does the pressure of making shots when they are more important to a team win. Assuming team wins are important to the shooter. Not a new concept.
He's extremely obsessed with what we think here and likely spends more time here than he does with his kids... sad really.

It doesn’t but putting in context making a subjective assessment of his stats is reasonable.
He really believes what he says. He just can't grasp that being up 20 teams will have different personnel in the game, most of the time play a little reckless and really don't care because they are up.
Someday this kid will "get it".... probably not
It’s not even close anymore - they tried to buy a team with a bad coach and it’s not gonna work. We were gonna struggle mightily without Edey, Smith would struggle to get assists, etc, etc.
