Wow! 35 threads in, only bitching about IU’s team and no pivot on insulting the Boilers.

😏

IU would hard pressed to poke fun at another (basketball or football) given their current performance.

We need to beat them before we start talking trash. Those were two bad losses last year.
They were due…I mean we swept em
for 5 straight years and split the previous year. So, I wouldn’t say they were bad losses…more so not ideal losses. Definitely good for the rivalry.

However, just to have some fun—judging by just the opening of the season, if we got swept by them this year, then it’d be real bad. But never know where the teams will be at when they play in 2024.

Don’t get me wrong, it’d be great to beat them, but probably lower on the list of goals this year.

Some of those people for IU had grandchildren and Purdue had players just starting to shave. It should have been 3-1 the other way, but you have to give Schifino (sp?) his due although had TJD not been playing he would have been defended a whole lot different.

JHS just popped in for that night to beat Purdue and then went back to being underwhelming the rest of the year 😂

There were two reasons he went off. 1) Focus was on TJD 2)the way Purdue defends screens on the side always trailing to not allow a player to stop behind a screen and shoot...but also making it easier to enter the lane where Zach was in drop coverage aware of TJD. Woodson has taken Purdue guards into the lane around the elbows for two years. Not sure it will be as effective this year, but you never know

Common theme for Purdue opponents, where an opposing player has a career night against the Boilers. That night it was Shifino's turn.
