It's just now official....UNC has their new coach.

Just curious. Did he even consider the Purdue job? Purdue’s in the BIG10. Was it an attractive enough job to attract an elite, name coach like Bellichek?

My speculation is no. Purdue is not an attractive job for elite, name coaches. And guys like Bellicek didn’t even consider it as a plausible possibility.

Purdue should feel fortunate for who they were able to attract to take the job.

What makes you think Purdue was interested? Bobinski just had one seriously risky hire blow up in his face.

His first thought probably wasn't: "Hey, let's go with a 72-year-old who has never coached college football at any level in any capacity. What we really need here is a guy who has never recruited, never dealt with academics or NIL, never worked alumni or boosters. Yeah, that's definitely the ticket."

I guess spending time with his girlfriend might help him relate to that age kid now.
