I’m ambivalent about Iowa but I’ve been told to hate them, so I do
I thought our most hated rival was IU. are we supposed to excrete on the hawkeyes too ? is that what the real POTFH refers to ? All these years , i had the wrong school. So who and what i am supposed to believe here? next thing you know, posters here will be quoting some inside source from OSU as if he knows the guy to be factual.
I'm so confused about all this misinformation and supposed facts.
i never considered iowa a rival, we usually beat them. It would be nice if our program could match their success. we recruit the same level of 3 star players, although we place a higher premium on skill positions, and they place a higher premium on offensive linemen. Just think if we merged and combined our skill players with their line.

i actually am a blast at sororiety parties. the chicks dig sensitive crooning NERDS that can actually play the uke! rather than loud bully muscle flexing jocks. You just went to the wrong parties. Frat parties are dull and a total waste of time. Delta Upisalon was where it's at.

Frats at Purdue? It was 90% rats whose mommy babysat them their whole lives. It would be like 8 guys from one high school joining and acting like they were somebody.. two of my buddies from back home would visit and guys wouldn’t even look at us. Guys who were so hard when it was just you, them and their entire high school in a house lmao.

I didn’t pick up your sarcasm as your comments seem to be grandiose so it’s hard to tell if you are being sarcastic or on another planet sometimes. Funny you comment on not being loud bully muscle flexing jocks, you are one of the loudest, bullying (you even say in the same post you are making fun at someone else’s expense), and muscle flexing guys on this board. MISINFORMATION ALERT: Iowa does not place a "higher premium on offensive linemen" than Purdue. They just develop them better and often start with a better prospect due to 20 odd years of placing OL into the NFL.
So what else do you want to be wrong about? You already got called out on "sorority parties" at a fraternity.
You obviously don’t know the rep delta upsilon had in the 70’s and 80’s. They were very popular with sororities because of their singing abilities. All the frats made fun of them because they were not manly men. I don’t bully others. Rather I stand up to and call out bullies! The people I pick on are the ones who pick on and dis other posters first! I like to give bullies a taste of their own medicine and by their reactions, it’s obvious they don’t like it. My posts are usually in response to others dissing new posters or posters from other teams! Rather than being so hateful and disrespectful to posters from other schools maybe some of you could learn to be more welcoming and engage in civil conversations with them! I guess to some of you that might seem like bullying you to be more civil and accepting of others! My opinion of frats was never very high! Their priorities in life always seemed to centered on 3 things, but mostly 2.
Sorry Hausta, Iowa does place a higher priority on recruiting lineman than they do on skill players! Just take a look at their last 5 recruiting classes. What players are their best recruits? How many 4 star Wrs and QBs do you see? Rather than using words, I provide links! Which very few other posters here ever do! It’s my links against other people’s words! I guess that’s called bullying

You weren't specific in your post. It reads as if Iowa places a higher premium on the OL than Purdue. Not a higher premium over skill position players.
And just because Iowa is more successful at recruiting/developing OL doesn't necessarily mean they place a higher premium on them.
Since Alabama gets 1 or 2 WR drafted in the 1st round every year, do they place a higher priority on WR than OL?
Its 2022 if you don't have wolegib blocked and muted you are doing it wrong.

as for linemen, iowa and purdue seem to recruit a lot of the same linemen, but for some reason, iowa wins those recruiting battles. the majority of iowa's linemen received offers from purdue, but we weren't able to secure the deal and convince them to come to purdue. i noticed purdue also lost out on several skilled linemen who became 4 year starters at Indiana.
I am perplexed with brohm's offense, why the best linemen in Indiana high schools would choose IU and iowa over purdue. is it because purdue doesn't develop their linemen? do we not recruit linemen who are ready? do these players not want to redshirt and gain 60 pounds and spend their first year in the weight room? what is it about purdue that offensive linemen hate and wou d rather play at IU for? is it cary quad ? bring back the famous banned winter olympics to the quad.

Again making bad assumptions… it’s not about priority in fact Purdue has stated multiple times and multiple years they prioritize OLine over any other position. They recruit heavy there. Iowa (and Notre dame) are very good at developing OLine so a lot of the good OL choose to go there not because they are recruited harder but because of their development. Same as QB and WR at Purdue. David bell was recruited very hard by Iowa but came to Purdue because we could develop him to a great WR.
What? What indiana OLine chose iu over Brohn without a reasonable explanation? Pay for the premium boards and you will learn why Wiginton, Holtz, and DL Moore did NOT end up at Purdue and stop with this nonsense. Look how bad ius line was last year. And surprise Holtz and wiginton couldn’t crack the starting lineup of that awful line and Purdue walked away from moore. We aren’t losing the guys we want to indiana…
Cary Quad? Upperclassman have never had to remain there and the 2019 incoming freshman class ( and beyond) was allowed to bypass Cary as well. Maybe you should get up to campus soon.

Agree completely. That comment by wolegib is complete hor$e$hit. IU’s OL is atrocious especially since their OL Coach under Wilson left a year ot two after Gary Busey took over.
I wouldn’t be surprised if … like me.. he is a very strong chess player. Or at least that kinda mind. The game can do funny things to your mind .. it’s taken me until my mid 40s to kinda have some things slow down and see them the same way others do..
