I'm an Iowa alum but I'm no homer. Fact is Iowa has 6 current freshman who can all play ball. We have 3 top 50 recruits coming in over next 2 years not to mention Fran's own top 75 ranked sons. Fran mcaffrey is the next big thing in BIG coaching and I'm stunned by what he has been able to do with a lower tier program. Next 4/5 years Iowa will compete with traditional basketball powers in conference and out. This isn't my father's Hawkeyes. These boys are coming in from great AAU and high school programs and far from the typical 'try hards' we are used to.

Great win by your Hawks tonight. The Freshman are good, but this would be the worst team in the B1G without Jok. Think about that for a second. Fran definitely has done a good job recruiting. However, there is a ton of development that needs to take place before Iowa is a "basketball power".

I think we all like for each Big Ten team to be good, but beat them when we play each other, its one thing to talk about your team and another to make your team look like the next super team, especially on another teams site. Its too bad a very few fans gotta rock the boat and intentionally try to piss off others on another teams site
You know what? Every team in the B10 has the same story. Some kids will be great, and others will fail. Only time will show what is really the result of a lot of recruiting work. Neither Iowa, nor Nebraska for that matter, have much to offer in environment. Neither has a coach known for growing stars.

Great win but you sound like some of the fans here a couple weeks ago. Your team won a home game against a top 25ish team. You have one great player who won't be there much longer and play terrible defense.
