Interesting Comment from Dakich on tonight’s Game...

But he had spent time with the Boilermakers today because he talked about Haas being able to wear Dakich’ hat. Wonder how that comment came about... Did he tell them he thought Michigan would win or do you think he thinks Purdue will win big?

Might be a stretch, but if Dakich is calling the game, it's plausible that ESPN wants him to be as neutral as possible on his radio show. I might be off base, so just a guess.

In general, I like Dakich. He plays up Purdue every time he calls our games and speaks highly of Painter. It's good marketing for us.

That is definitely their ("ESPN's") policy. It comes up all the time when Kirk Herbstreit or Jay Bilas is calling a game.
