Would purdue be a legit option? Would be a pretty good selling point from purdues standpoint with our bigs. Doubtful but hey you never know

He'd hate not being the focal point of the offense here. That said...he can shoot. He'd help.

If Yogi came to Purdue and Hammons returns, Purdue would be final four material. It won't happen but it would be funny for Yogi to be the turning point for Purdue to make the final four. How about a NC? Peegsters would be going nuts.
Also a dominant center like Hammons and IU could be final four material. IU would probably need both Hammons and Haas.

Hammons and Haas along with Zeller, Olajuwon, Bill Russell, Jabaar, and Wilt would not get IU to a FF as long as it's Clapper time on the sidelines.

Some of the peegsters are saying that rumor is floating around Louisville, that he might transfer to UL. Really hard to believe any of that. You'd think he'll either stay or go pro.

Yeah, his Mama would probably like it in Europe 'cause he's not gonna be in the NBA next year.

As of now, the Big Ten rules would not allow such a transfer without sitting out one year.

FWIW, Yogi's mom shot this down publicly earlier today.
I'm guessing he stays, and I know what his mom said. I'd put it at less than 1% anyhow IUHoosier, and spartan. He has his degree he can go anywhere he wants including a big ten school without sitting out. That rule doesn't apply in a situation like this.

Yeah, I was only attempting to pass along info. And yes, the poster above was incorrect. There is nothing stopping Yogi from playing elsewhere.

Apparently it's guesstimated a "coin flip" whether he goes to the NBA or returns to IU. For some reason (I have no idea why), his parents absolutely love Crean... his dad went so far as to defend him during the season and basically imply that Crean being gone would sway Yogi's decision in a not-so-nice direction potentially.

I don't know why Glass is dicking around, Crean in over his head literally. I think he's a nice guy, but not the right guy for Iu. All my friends and family are Iu fans and I know their feelings too. It just baffles me all the bad coaching choices Iu has made since Knight left. It's time to pony up the money and get a guarenteed winning guy there. With the fanbade, resources and storied tradition its only a matter of time.

As for Yogi, hes a good kid whatever decision he makes I wish him the best. He's played his heart out for you guys and it was a little tough for even me to watch him at times knowing that Crean has failed in finding him anthing in the frontcourt to work with.

Okay I puked a little but its nice to be real for once lol. I'm just fed up with all the Indiana players heading out of state. Especially the Ky bound ones!

Money is not the issue.

Tom Crean is one of the top 10 paid coaches in the country, nearly top 5. He's 2nd in the Big Ten, but practically right there with Tom Izzo.

It wont happen he strikes me as a very loyal kid. But we are close to home and it would give him a legit chance at bringing the state a championship.

Why would he want to transfer? Yes, he wants to win, but for most players anymore that is secondary to getting exposure and showcasing yourself for the NBA. Players want minutes and they want shots; those two things mean a lot more than wins. And at IU, Yogi gets plenty of exposure and shots.

With that as a reality, I would not be surprised if another Boiler transferred. I can think of a couple players who, I assume, were less than happy with the amount of minutes they were getting at the end of the season, and the prospects don't look much better for next season. I don't think it will happen, but after Scott Martin, I wouldn't be shocked.

Before anyone jumps on me, I think the likelihood of a Purdue player transferring is slight, but I gotta think it's more likely than Yogi transferring.
