Big game tomorrow morning. Illinois @ MSU, 12 ET

I don't normally root for Illinois but it would setup one hell of a game in March when we travel to Champaign to close out the season.

It would also put Purdue in the conference lead position.

Michigan plays tomorrow too...

I'm torn on this one. I think Illinois is the real deal, so another loss for them would be good. But, if MSU beats Illinois, then maybe MSU is the real deal.

I see it and agree. I think this is just a sit back with the popcorn and watch a good game kind of experience.

I see Purdue, MSU, Illinois and Michigan as being the only real title contenders left. Going to be fun watching two of them battle.

Same. I've settled on routing for MSU because in the end ILL will be the more dangerous team. I do think ILL will win.

Even if MSU wins I see more losses for them coming up. I just can't get on the Jaden Akins leading them to a title train and not sure Fears is ready. We'll see....

Illinois win today

Yes but their rebounded on the offensive glass is incredible.

Will Riley is balling out right now.

Think they lead the conference in offensive rebounding, Beef; regardless, these are two of the better rebounding teams in the conference. Underwood has been a slow boil this first half - wonder if we get fireworks in the second.

Sparky is scrappy and working hard, but the featherheads are scary talented.

Izzo will get a boatload of calls in Breslin-

Watched the first half. So far, MSU has been playing extremely aggressive defense with tons of contact. So far, refs just not calling it. KJ out with two fouls early, neither of which were particularly egregious. Hopefully ILL gets some calls in the second half and KJ gets going. Have I mentioned that I hate Michigan State? :p Need those clowns to be brought back down to earth. Overrated.

My take on this game, maybe I made it already, is that, while both games will be tough, I can more likely see us winning in East Lansing than the last game of the season in Champaign. Therefore a win by Sparty is better for us. If we're using road wins as a major player in the title chase, I'd rather Illinois not get another big one.

Ridiculous foul calls on Illinois. 3rd time the whistle has come way after the shot is taken and MSU missed the shot. Hate when refs wait to see if shot is made. It's either a foul, or it's not.

Refs working OT for MSU. Watching it's almost like they are getting paid to keep the green alive. But our B10 refs have always been both the highest quality and above reproach, so that cannot be it. 😎

I think DGL has matured into a player I like. Matured, being the key word. Actually playing decent D. Quick, opportunistic. Good bench guy. Guess that comes with going bald...lol

I imagine in 2-3 years the same will be true of Catchings for BYU. Just takes maturity.

Ha - that's a Jake O'Donnell special from the old NBA days, Dry.

Another example of a coach leaving a player on the bench with fouls. C'mon Underwood, put the kid in the game before Boswell pounds the air out of the ball!!!
