It makes the game's hard to watch! it hurts the team's. you don't know if they're going to call the first-half and second-half equal the first half different from the second half! It makes the games look wonky. And on top of that it hurts these teams in the tournament because the officials in the NCAA tournament completely call the games differently!!!!! I do not know why it has not been addressed year after year? there's a reason we have not won a title as a conference in what 16 or 17 years the officiating doesn't help prepare us for the tournament. Sorry for getting winded but this is gotten disgusting from the first 10 minutes.

I really like this announcing team. Hummel is really good. If you didn't know any better and had to guess whether Bardo or Hummel was the former Illini, Hummel would be the easy choice.

Too much Jaden Ivey and not nearly enough shots falling for us in the 2nd half. We had some clean looks. The ball just didn't go in. I guess we now know how Wisconsin felt against us. Purdue is really, really good at basketball. It's painful to type but they completely took us to the woodshed in every facet of the game in the 2nd half. They were clearly the superior team tonight.
I think Purdue is the best team in the league but I also think they’re a decent bet to flame out in the tournament because they’re not a particularly good defensive team. If Williams winds up having to guard a guy like Chet Holmgren he’s gonna be nothing but a pair of empty sneakers with smoke coming out of them by the end of the night. They’re still better than us right now, though. So hats off, I think? Doesn’t feel right.

This kind of feels like the reverse of the Illinois-Iowa story from last year. Two really good teams, but they just have our number.

Hopefully we avoid Purdue in the tournament. They have our number this year. We just seem to play a totally different game against tough teams with length.

51% for Purdue from the field and 40% for us. We have had problems from the outside lately and have been out rebounded in total over last 5 games. Kofi is frustrated just like the first game.
The shooting drought would have been OK if Ivey didn't get hot...and vice versa.
This is like the car accident that you put up sheets so you can't see the casualties.
All I care about is Trent being okay. (ditto on the health of the rest of our players) just get out of that sausage fest of a school and get prepared for the next game.

Our loss tonight is a gain for the Bricklayers Union. Terrible on both ends tonight, but shooting this half is a horror show.

Kofi had so much energy in the Wisky game. Sprinting up and down the court. Little sluggish tonight in comparison.
Kofi was being guarded by slender 3rd graders in that game, vs a 300-lb Yao Ming this game.
Kofi played well. Edey is a giant, lumbering, trash talking, unathletic slab of human flesh.
That sucked. I find Purdue to be just as dislikable as Indiana and Iowa.
1.78 points per possession for Purdue this half. For context, they lead the nation for the season at 1.26.
From 15 minutes left on, I had a whole new appreciation for what it was like to have another team's star take over. I didn't care for it
Unfortunately, we lost to the better team tonight. They imposed their will, executed game plan better and we got rattled. We picked a terrible game to not be able to throw the ball in the ocean in the 2nd half. Got some good looks but just had a lid on the bucket.
I really like this announcing team. Hummel is really good. If you didn't know any better and had to guess whether Bardo or Hummel was the former Illini, Hummel would be the easy choice.
Bardo should def take notes from Hummel on how to call your alma mater.
Got to give credit to their student section too. As much as I hated hearing them, they were really into it for nearly all the game.
As much as it stinks to say, Purdue is the better team and that's not a knock on our guys because I believe Purdue is the best team in the country. I expect them to win the rest of their conference games.

Purdue will lose at Michigan on Thursday. Just wait. They still have by far the most talent in the conference.
I thought tonight was well called. The 50/50 calls went to the home team, which you expect. Nothing seemed crazy or to influence the outcome. How do we get that at home?
Ivey Ayo'd us. It was fun to watch him play; I just wish it hadn't been against us.
Too much Jaden Ivey and not nearly enough shots falling for us in the 2nd half. We had some clean looks. The ball just didn't go in. I guess we now know how Wisconsin felt against us. Purdue is really, really good at basketball. It's painful to type but they completely took us to the woodshed in every facet of the game in the 2nd half. They were clearly the superior team tonight.
I think Purdue is the best team in the league but I also think they’re a decent bet to flame out in the tournament because they’re not a particularly good defensive team. If Williams winds up having to guard a guy like Chet Holmgren he’s gonna be nothing but a pair of empty sneakers with smoke coming out of them by the end of the night. They’re still better than us right now, though. So hats off, I think? Doesn’t feel right.
Ivey is really good. He couldn't be stopped in the second half. We also couldn't make a shot when it mattered. It’s frustrating. We’ll get another shot at them in the B1G tournament. And Purdue, fix your f-ing shot clock.
I have respect for Stefanovich. After Trent went down, he came over to Trent on the bench to make sure that he was ok. I don't have any respect for a coach that knows that the game is decided, sees the losing coach clearing the bench, then doesn't do the same and let's them shoot. Bush league! No excuses for it!
Looked like Painter was pretty animated in that exchange with BU. Don't know if BU said something about leaving the starters in or the shot clock.
Painter has resting PANIC face. Probably the shot clock, anyway.
They spent all the money for shot clocks on a device that shimmies the rim through a remote control when we shoot.
