Illini

It is all Indinia has to play for, as usual. But they will fold if we come out and smack them early. We just can't come out flat like we did for Wisconsin and Iowa.
who knows, I remember in Brees SR. season we went down there and came away w/ a 20 -13 win in what should have been an easy affair.

There was a game down in Bloomington where it poured the entire time and we lost.

That was 2001 - with the Hoosiers prevailing 13-7. Purdue went to the Sun Bowl in El Paso that year, and two friends and I had a great time despite Joe Tiller's team dropping one to Washington State 33-27. Fairly entertaining back and forth contest - Cougar fans were a good opponent fan group from what I remember.

And I believe we had a 4th and inches at the end of the game to tie and set up a game winning extra point, but Lowe didn't score.

I think that fourth down fail was earlier in the 4thQ.....then Purdue's last drive ended with under 2:00 left. They had gotten inside the 20, but a huge loss on 2nd down killed that drive.

Similar feeling to the '82 game in Ross-Ade, ending with a Scott Campbell sack near the goal line.....same score.....13-7. At least after that game, I saw the Purdue basketball team upset the Soviet National team, seemingly out of nowhere on a Curt Clawson buzzer beater.

Another wonderful trip down memory lane.....haha.
