Outstanding. If we have Wright, Bell and Moore lining up on offense, defenses will be shaking in their boots. Defenses will be essentially helpless.

He'll commit to Purdue, but even without him we'd have one of the best in the country. Our highest rated recruits from last year were WR's and we have another 4 star in Mershawn Rice already committed.

Would not surprise me if Rice ends up on defensive side of ball. We desperately need help there. PU started several games with walkons at both safety positions and one of the corners

If Bell signs our 2019 WR stable looks something like this:

Slot:
Rondale Moore (So)
Jackson Anthrop (Jr)
Amad Anderson (RS-Fr)
TJ Sheffield (Fr)
KeyRon Catlett (Jr)
Tyler Hamilton (So)

Outside:
David Bell (Fr)
Milton Wright (Fr)
Jared Sparks (Jr)
Mershawn Rice (Fr)
Kory Taylor (RS-Fr)
Benaiah Franklin (Jr)
Jordan Bonner (RS-Fr)

Are any positional changes being looked at? Looks like some guys are getting buried. Does Taylor have the frame for a TE? Any of the 6'1/6'2 outside guys have safety potential?

Not sure about Taylor’s frame, but we have some nice tight end guys coming in too.

Like to see him be a red zone threat type wide receiver that Purdue lacks right now

We got the safety recruits we wanted in Grant and Graham. For Rice and Wright, them playing offense is a big reason of why they chose Purdue.

I don't necessarily disagree but once on campus, if a 4* recruit is buried on depth chart, he might look at ways to contribute immediately. Brohm likes taller corners than what we have presently. I could see Rice as contributor at nickel his frosh year. He's listed as "Athlete" even though he starred as WR in HS. I would assume it was discussed during his recruitment. Bell is a difference maker at WR and I would say is now a "lock"

Laughable. .
You think SEC teams even worry about Purdue football. .
Include..N.D. Clemson. .
Hard to catch the ball when your Q.B. is laying on his back...

After the absolute debacle of the stadium and your team made this past weekend do you really think that talking smack here makes one iota of sense?

Really??

I'm glad someone listed the WR depth chart. It's actually humorous looking at 247's breakdown, which is a link associated with Bell's recruiting. Here is what they have for Purdue's WR corps:

Senior:
Mahoungou (graduated)
Cason (defense)
Phillips (graduated?)
Holmes (graduated)
Zico

Junior:
Landers Jr. ???
Franklin

Sophomore:
Pittman (TE)
Catlett
Wright (senior?)
James ???

Freshman:
Anderson
Taylor
Moore
Alexander (LB)
Bonner ???

Incoming Fr:
Sheffield
Saunders (LB?)

Also no Sparks, Anthrop, Wright, Rice. Sparks is probably still a QB in their database.

Sindelar is not as mobile as Blough and will need a pocket to be effective. As I stated previously, we lose 4 of 5 starters on the OL. This will be a big area of concern going into next year.
Think about what you said...we lose 4 of 5...therefore we get 4 new starters. It could only get better

we had two WRs (Anderson and Taylor) redshirt this year. We also had a few (Franklin, Anthrop, Hamilton and Sparks) that didn't play much.

if you ask me, that's a lot of receivers coming back.

and then you add the incoming recruiting class ?

Something has got to give.

OL is much harder to replace than a wide receiver or running back. We lost our captain over the OL too......I think you underestimate how difficult it will be to get a new OL to gel. The new guys may be better eventually, but I bet they struggle at the beginning of the season.

My guess is Brohm grabs a fifth year tackle. Then in 2020 more of his lineman recruits will be ready.

Sindelar has a big time arm. Strongest arm I’ve seen from a Purdue QB in a LONG time. He’s on par with Kyle Orton, but I still say Elijah’s is stronger.

Best in the country? There are schools that string together classes like ours on a semi-routine basis. Don't lose perspective.
I’ll go one step further, there are schools that string together classes MUCH better than ours on a regular basis. Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, OSU, just to name a few. This is great for Purdue, but this would be below par for some.

That is very true. But look what Brohm has done with the players we have! They are great guys, but they have been punching well above their weight. I want to see what he can do without such a big talent deficit.
