It will be interesting to see who gets the start if O'Connell is out....Burton or Alaimo.
Could still be Plummer, because he does not leave the program until after this game. However, I would think you would want to use people going to be here next year. Burton to me is a big question mark with that though.

Actually, if our Rocky Top visitors are to be believed, a running QB was kinda their kryptonite this year, as they were lamenting giving up alot of 3rd down conversions to qb's that can scramble.
Every shitty bowl game is meaningless, sans the two playoff games and the Championship games. I haven’t watched a single game and will be working today and at not get to see this one. Go to a 16team play off and get rid of these loser bowls.

I'd like to see Alaimo. He's been here two years and I really don't know much about him. Is he a pro style drop back passer? Or more of a run first, pass second type QB? Or a combo of both?
That is true. Killed us all year. Hope O'Connell plays, but even if he does it's kinda meaningless with all of those guys you have out. Would be fun to see them play at full strength though. Good luck.
So nothing about these rumors on my Twitter feed since H&R explicitly denied the original rumor from the WISH-TV guy, and that was about 10pm last night. Have to assume they're not true? My wife is friends with Chris Hagan and he knew nothing of substance last night either.
If a starter like O'Connell tested positive, it's likely that other starters would also test positive. I don't really believe the rumor. But we'll know more tomorrow...

I agree with this. I’ve bantering back and forth with y’all but bowl games are meaningless. Tennessee hasn’t lost a bowl since 2010… what’s that tell you?
Oddly enough that 2010 loss in the music city bowl instituted a rule change. North Carolina was flagged as time expired for too many men on the field. That penalty gave them another opportunity to kick a game winning field goal, that they made.
There was no run-off rule before this game.

Our game just came off our betting boards. It had climbed to +7.5 from 5.5 over the last 24 hours. There could be a number of reasons for it coming off though.
