Bobinski hired Chris Mack at Xavier. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up as our HC at some point.

Why would he come to Purdue. When is the last time we beat Xavier? How many times have they beaten us in a row, 4 or 5? They out recruit us. Their program is in much better shape than ours. That's my complain with Painter: how is it we can't (even one time) beat Xavier or Butler, not Kentucky or Duke, but Xavier or Butler? Amazing to me.

All-time, there's no question Purdue has the better basketball program. But the two programs have been remarkably close over the past three decades.
Since 1985-86: Xavier has played in 24 NCAA Tournaments (Purdue has played in 22), reached the Sweet 16 seven times (same for Purdue) and the Elite Eight twice (same for Purdue).
But, Xavier has done noticeabley better in the very recent past. Both of their Elite Eight appearances have come since our last (2004, 2008), and they've reached the Sweet 16 twice since our last appearance there (2012, 2015).
And, yes, it's been a while since we've beaten them.
I love how people who complain we never make a final four and Painter should be fired then suggest we hire a coach who's never made the final four.
Purdue is a better job than X. Better conference, better facilities, more resources, etc etc. And again, the next coach will make more than Painter. Just don't be shocked if it's Mack.

I agree with these sentiments over all. I need to keep them in mind when I post as well because I have been less than courteous to a select few Purdue fans myself. Trolls don't count of course.
I usually try to attack the argument, and not the person. However, I am often tempted to be blunt about the poster's mental capabilities. There are some situations where a poster is just over the top with criticisms that are poorly supported and overly emotional. Sometimes criticisms and derision seem justified to shake the confusion out of some folks' minds. Now, I must admit... so far it has not worked.
