I want Purdue to win the title the right way

Sorry, but to me when it's is based on a season long standard I can't think of any wrong way to win a championship. You win more games than the opponents or have the predetermined tie breaker.

I kind of maybe sort of hear where you're coming from, but I don't think Wisconsin winning somehow improves our odds of beating IU and NW. The only positive to Wisconsin winning would be to improve the quality of our win against them. But then again we played MSU twice so it makes our RPI and that win in Breslin that much better.

This really makes no sense... The "right way" implies there is a wrong way to do this. It's simple we win more or as many games as another conference opponent then we are B1G regular season champs. We cannot control other teams. I hope we win out. But if we lose the next 2 and so does Wisc. And we are still crowned. Then guess what... We are still B1G champs. The right way.

I give the WI players credit, that was classy coming over and recognizing him at the end. It would have been easy to be pissed with the way this game and your season is coming apart. But they did a nice thing.

so purdue gagged on a few games.... all those teams did too. but purdue has beat who they needed to in order to get to the position they are in.

NOW..... kick IU's buttocks, and understand what the NU game will mean to purdue (and win it, of course)..... and THAT is the "right" way.....

This is dumb. We've beaten Wisky, Maryland @ Maryland, MSU twice, Northwestern... this is NOT backing into a Championship.

You can't control what other teams do. Maryland, Wisky, and Northwestern all lost this weekend.

Purdue does need to take care business and finish 14-4, but no matter what happens, no one should say that Purdue backed in.

With everyone's schedules being different, who you play twice and who you play once and where there really is no right way. These are college kids who are going to be inconsistent and no one's going to look down at the season title because someone else stumbled along the way.

An easy schedule to win the Big and beating the better teams to win teh Big are different. Win both...but must win one

That said, the league was considered down during the 3rd of Purdue's 3-peat in the 90s, but does that matter? Somebody had to win it, so it might as well have been us.

I see your point, but it's not like MSU and OSU wold vacate the 2010 shared title with us just because they "backed in" due to Hummel's injury.
