Folks I have stuck with Purdue through very difficult times. Through the absolutely putrid football performances, especially as of late. Purdue fans have had it rough lately. And I want this message to be felt hard. I am personally asking for Purdue and Painter to make it a mission to beat Pitt. I want that game. And I want that game bad. I want it now. December 1.

I want every player to take that game personally. I am asking you all to take that game personally. I am asking Hammons to take it personally as an alumni. I am asking Swanigan to put on the most determined performance of his young life that night. I want this game. Physical, determined, fierce attitude and character. I want an ACC slap on that night. Put it on the court that night. Do not fail me or the rest of Purdue nation that night. We need a big win. We need it now. And after tomorrow's football game, we'll probably need it even more.

A) Pitt is ACC. Need I remind of the ACC connection....North Carolina is ranked #1 and will reap the benefits of that even though they cheated the NCAA in the absolute WORST NCAA violation of all time, i.e.. handing out fake degrees, which is an insult to collegiate athletics. I take ACC games personally for this reason among others. It is one thing to hand a player money. It is another to hand out fake degrees. No other team except a hand's full would ever be given such treatment under those conditions, especially in the Big Ten.

B) I am putting money down on this game. Not because I want to win the money, but because I have some loud mouthed friends who have ragged on Purdue and I have had to defend my swag and my team for years. I am sick and tired of that. I said put your money where your mouth is, they did. It is on.

C) Back in the ACC challenge when it first began, ESPN ragged on the Big Ten in the most sickening, unfair, vitriolic, astounding, and quite frankly disgusting way for nearly a decade when that began. It was unreal the kind of disrespect Big Ten fans had to endure during those times. Every big ten athlete should take that personally. The Big Ten has gotten the message winning the last many in a row. This Purdue game is extremely important in that effort to continue this. And it needs to continue.

Lastly, the ACC must be challenged. How do you hand out fake degrees for as long as Michael Jordan to athletes, and then teams like Purdue take their best player and bench him for the rest of the year for not being academically eligible per NCAA rules (referring to 2004)? Remember that year Purdue beat #2 Duke in the Great Alaska Shootout with Kenneth Lowe just beating Duke around like a wet rag, slapping them like a fool face on national TV. And prior to that game I had to hear ESPN and Dick Vital scathe Purdue for daring to play the game against the anointed Duke darlings. I talk to many of my alumni friends around the country who share the heated anger over that. Right after that Duke win our big man got declared ineligible. Season was tanked. We played by the rules....probably more teams at that UNC level that we don't know of didn't. DECK1 (Dec 1st) be there! I will. I will be there in person. Now give me this win!!

This is the game that worries me the most in the OCC.

I think we can beat PItt and Butler and Vandy will give us tougher games.

But having such a quick turn around of two days, we could see a let down.

But with Ray and Vince on the floor, probably not.

B1G hasn't won a National Championship in 15 years and lost multiple games to mid-majors tonight. That's not deserving of respect. Beating Pitt won't win Purdue or the B1G respect. The only way to earn respect is to cut down the nets.

My older daughter is a Freshman and Pitt. I am driving from Indy to Pitt on Dec 1 to attend that game with her (she isn't a big sports fan) and I hope there are other Boilers in the crowd to witness the beat down. I hope my daughter doesn't get too upset when her Panthers are licking their wounds afterwards. Boiler Up!

Now that is some passion!!! Boiler Up!!

Could be a tougher game than we expected prior to the season. They hung with #9 Gonzaga, leading by two at halftime, when the game was cancelled due to unsafe floor conditions in Okinawa. Playing in an un-airconditioned arena in a very tropical location right after a rainstorm raised humidity to 89% is not too smart to begin with. Who scheduled this fiasco?

I will be a bit subdued out of respect for the school that gave a full tuition out of state scholly to my baby girl, and because she would be mortified if I got too rambunctious. But there will be no doubt who I am cheering for.

Well tomorrow is the game. I need Purdue to take this game. I got a heated rivalry setting at the game too. I am going to be surrounded by some Pitt fans that like to talk smack, and have been ragging years on Purdue. I need the team to step hard in this one so I can swag stomp these people. Because I am gonna lay it on thick. Do not fail me tomorrow. Failure is not an option. I want warrior attitude. I want a Haas type attitude. Just stomp teams. Bring it hard peeps. I am gonna bring a swag stomp of ragging if we win. Represent.

Love the enthusiasm!! This is a big game for us. Bigger than the Florida game, anyway go boilers!!

Every new non-cupcake game from here on out will be the most important because of how highly we are rated. We all bemoan (rightfully) the lack of national respect this program gets and every loss will see our beloved Boilermakers fall more than they should. Keep winning and nothing to worry about!

Oh man haha. It was swag time there was no doubt about it. I was very impressed when Purdue took a huge early lead. Believe me everyone in that stadium was shocked. I can't remember ever seeing that happen at Pitt before, but they don't go away easy. I watch a lot of their games over the years. Pitt plays their home court better than just about anyone out there. I knew that game was far from over even with the lead. This was exactly the type of game I envisioned. I am very happy and thankful Purdue pulled this one out. Mad creds go to AJ. He was clutch. I am very glad he came back for his senior year. Wise wise decision because he is displaying mad improvement in much of his game. It is a luxury to have this much talent on the team this year and size. Pitt can score in a hurry so I was concerned if they started lighting up the 3 I was gonna have to fend the smack talk. I knew Painter was gonna pound AJ on the inside though deep in the second half and that would put Pitt in difficult positions later on so I kept my calm and div'd out the proper amount of smack talk. Loved the composure of the team tonight. That was no easy contest. It is cool to see Purdue come out my way from time to time. Went to WVU a few years back when Purdue played there. Love seeing intensity out of the players attitudes. No half stepping on the court. If they came out half stepping a loss would have ensued. Could not have that tonight. :D
