I believe Purdue will need to make an extension to support recruiting. If you're Bobinski, do you offer an extension? I tend to think yes, and assuming Brohm is interested, would like to see him remain the coach for several more years.
Brohm has done a great job of making Purdue competitive again, and I generally like the energy his teams play with. Depth is better than its been. Although it would be nice to know if all the OL injuries were his/the program's fault, or if its just bad luck. I suspect it will take another 3ish years to get a decent line, which means anything above 7-8 wins is pretty unlikely unless there is some transfer portal magic.
I appreciate that some are fed up with how much Purdue is paying him and the lack of wins recently. However, I tend to think that the program would be more likely to take a step back if someone new was brought in during the next 1-2 years. I think Id rather give Brohm another 3-4 years to slowly build the program, and if offensive line and QB play continues to struggle, let that be a deal breaker.
