I don't really follow women's basketball but....

I questioned how good the Reynolds sisters and Jones might be as college players early on. When you have 4 supposedly top 100 players in the nation but can only win one title and even that year they had 4-6 losses. With that kind of talent they should not have lost 4-6 games in 4 years IMHO, so I have always felt they were over-rated as they made each other look better against inferior talent. So, of the 3 we have seen; a shooting guard with a 12 foot range, a power forward that plays like a powder puff, no power, no shot, no aggression and no rebounding, and lastly a point guard that cannot handle someone defending her closely, she gives up the ball and goes into the corner and hides. Amiyah also lacks an outside shot. We need Jones back, she's likely our starting point guard next year as well, the Reynolds sisters, we will miss as DEEP depth and practice players.

Kendall Puryear posted on her IG she'll be back.. re-shared by the official Purdue Instagram account.

Idk if her status was ever up in the air but she had a solid frosh year and I'm sure she would of had some options if she put her name in the portal.

Carmin shared on his substack confirming none of the Reynolds will play for Purdue next season. His phrasing - "Mila and Amiyah have decided not to return". It'll be interesting to see if a program is willing to take all 3 of them.

Portal opens up March 25.

Thanks for the update. Puryear coming back is reassuring. It's probably best that the Reynolds sisters move on if they don't want to be at Purdue. No coach can develop players who aren't committed to the program. That said, I'm still skeptical that the portal will be a quick fix for Purdue.

And if my grandma had wheels she would be a wagon. The percentage of players that fundamentally change their game, or add a reliable 3 point shot when they were never a good 3 point shooter before is miniscule. The skills she has are likely to be all she will ever have, just improving those year over year with good coaching. Its remarkable enough she developed a pull up and mid-range shot this season. Also I would say her chances of being all big ten are close to winning the lottery level of odds.

The Reynolds' father resigned from his position at South Bend Washington. It seems like he may be looking for a college coaching spot, I assume as an assistant, and he is taking his 3 girls with him wherever he goes in a family package deal.
