I heard AJ was supposed to grow an inch taller during the off season . He came up 1/2" short so he's been on the rack getting stretched until the goal was met!

I was thinking about this last night, and my best guess is that AJs grades were slipping. It makes sense that Painter would hold him out of the early games until he could get them back up. And it also makes sense that Painter is being really vague and hush hush because he wouldn't want to embarrass AJ by talking about it.

And it would be illegal for him to talk about it.

No offense, but I don't think that's a very good guess. How exactly would you rectify a bad grade situation over a period of 3 games and 8 or 9 days?

If Gene Keady had made Chris Booker stay home from the Great Alaska Shootout in 2003, he might have stayed with the team the next semester. One missed assignment can make a huge difference.
