No, LEO isn't shooting first. I would say that it's on the protesters not to hurl rocks, molitov cocktails or bullets. And if they decide to do so, they understand that their are very serious consequences.

All heros. If someone's dog jumps at me, I kill them (and the dog, of course). Someone looks at me wrong, dead. Someone cuts me off, I run them off the road and shoot them. In all cases, I felt threatened and was justified in killing another person.

You're completely missing the point. As Skydog says, no Repubs or conservatives are denying what happened on Jan 6 was wrong. None of us. How many times or ways do we need to acknowledge it to make you and Bob happy?
But, as he also correctly states, Jan 6 (over 5 years ago) is the ONLY event you can point to at which some of the conservatives got violent. It's old material and very stale. How long will the left hold onto it as their sentinel moment of Repubs acting badly?
Lefty lib Dems on the other hand resort to violence every. single. time. it's not even a question of if. In fact, the MSM has made "Mostly peaceful" as part of the lexicon because they KNOW violence will break out and they're trying to do the Dems a favor by quantifying and watering down what level of violence, looting and destruction occurred.
