to pull that game out. Three missed calls. All keeping the ball with Houston. Two out of bounds calls where the ball was clearly off Houston and the push off before the game winning out of bounds play. 5 Houston points as a result. Boilers played tough, but that was too much to overcome at the end.
Congratulations on a good season. Let’s get ready to make another FF next year.

Now we get ready for the portal. Painter has already said he expects to lose some. Let’s hope it’s not anybody in the rotation
Let's hope Paint is talking about Furst who still has another year of eligibility and wants to goto Med School

Or Waddell who wants to goto Louisville to be closer to his girlfriend

Or Berg who just hasn't performed like we had hoped.

But my guess is that it is Burgess who has potential but hasn't seemed to be on the same page as Painter all season. Plus although it's rumored he has shin splints, he hasn't seen 1 minute since Painter mentioned someone will be entering the portal. My guess is the shin splints is a cover for "I already told coach I'm entering the portal" so Paint doesn't trust him on the floor.

I would bet we know the answer by Monday ...

Caleb Furst does not have another year of eligibility, IIRC.

Burgess has a lot of potential and will be good for Purdue. He ain’t leavin. The game will slow down for him. His body wasn’t quite quick enough to match what his mind wanted to do. Another offseason with coach B, the best big man developer in the country, will make him that much better

Aside from the above, holding Cryer to 5 points was a great defensive effort. Tough loss to take.

We now know it was Waddell. Hopefully that is all we lose we have plenty of scholarships available and likely won't even use them all. I'm good with keeping everyone left on scholarship.
