Big Ten has gotten better, but the SEC still head and shoulders above the Big Ten in women's basketball. I don't expect her to be in the upper third, but she could lay a foundation at UWisc with middle of the road results, which would preserve her job in perpetuity there.
On the surface, it does seem to be a weak hire at Wisconsin. However, looking at the current B1G coaching teams, I would take any of them except for maybe one or two over our current coaching.
I agree with this. Kruger at PSU is going down the same descent into disaster with the reliance on the portal and resulting disasterous seasons we are. Both programs will be mired int eh bottom three for as long as these two follow the portal strategy. McKeown at NU just seems to have lost his edge and is on cruise control to retirement. Every other school is clearly ahead of us in coaching acumen, including Wisconsin now.
