It depends on who you hire. Jeff Brohm would be a decent hire, but his philosophy is to outscore the other team. He'd make Purdue a bowl team but he's not Joe Tiller.
Seems like a double standard to me.

FWIW, I don't think his defense at WKU is terrible from what I've read. Anytime you put up alot of points, you're going to give up more points because your opponents will be throwing more, extending the game, and be forced into taking more chances to lead to scoring opportunities. They have won 14 games by 28+ points over the last 3 seasons which is 2nd in the nation to Alabama and tied with Ohio State so it's not like all his wins are 56-52.
