It depends on who you hire. Jeff Brohm would be a decent hire, but his philosophy is to outscore the other team. He'd make Purdue a bowl team but he's not Joe Tiller.

FWIW, I don't think his defense at WKU is terrible from what I've read. Anytime you put up alot of points, you're going to give up more points because your opponents will be throwing more, extending the game, and be forced into taking more chances to lead to scoring opportunities. They have won 14 games by 28+ points over the last 3 seasons which is 2nd in the nation to Alabama and tied with Ohio State so it's not like all his wins are 56-52.

A good defense generally requires better athletes than a good offense. Hard to come by at a place like WKU. Hopefully even with only marginal BigTen recruits to Purdue Brohm can at least produce middling defenses (which would be a huuuge step up from DH2).

Our women's basketball team was nothing before Glass came! The list goes on.... our athletic facilities were garbage before Glass.... compare if you must....

Funny since Purdue has had winnings streaks of 10 (1), 6 (1), 5 (3), and 4 (4). So your now 2nd instance of 4 victories in a row in the entire history pales in comparison. I could say that the IPFW game sort of negates one of those nice wins but that is exactly who IU is under Tom Crean. They can beat anyone at anytime yet can lose to a borderline D1 team in IPFW as well. It is who Tom Crean is....just like most rationale Purdue fans will say who Purdue is under CMP is who we are (until proven otherwise).

Works fine for me. You can have all the national championships in sports that I don't watch or care about that you want. Purdue doesn't have a men's soccer team and I wouldn't want one even if they were guaranteed 5 straight national titles. I'd like to do away with the women's soccer program but I think we have to keep it due to Title IX.

FYI - your facilities still suck dong. You basically put lipstick on a pig. Assembly Hall (or whatever sponser bought the naming rights) is still THE WORST facility in the country to watch a basketball game. Even IU fans think so. Memorial Stadium (or whatever sponser bought the naming rights) is better, but just looks worse when it's 50% empty. Drug in a rock and filled in an end zone with seats. Congratulations, you know longer look like a High School facility.
