We have received 5 crystal ball today, so I would expect a positive announcement tomorrow.

Just not to jinx us. If he announces to us tomorrow afternoon, that would give us (4) 4 stars. We got 5 last year. This class might top last year's class for number of 4 star recruits, which would be amazing. It also would silence a few on the board that thought this class was taking a step down from last year about a month ago.

Actually we got 6, 4*'s last year: Bell, Wright, Faucheux, Grant, Rice, and Karlaftis. And, yeah, it is hard to believe.

Philosophically it is a similar question as basketball and getting the most talent on the field or floor as possible. There is a larger amateur talent pool among smaller players than bigs. Three guards and five db’s can both sort of help achieve that. Who would you rather have pursuing a ball carrier, Joe Holland or Bernard Pollard? If the difference in size pales in comparison to the difference in talent.

I like it. I also think it requires a very strong defensive line. With that I like approach a lot.

No it wouldn't. These are engineers we're talking about here, they get paid to point out when something won't work. Frustrating as crud when they're fans, but happy they do it on aircraft design and bridge construction.

Yeah the DBs have been a real weak spot. The last 2 classes plus Major and Mackey ought to give us some nice depth and options. I agree we need DL. Maybe the younger guys are developing or there are other scenarios where we will have room to take a DL or two. We are young along the front and Faucheux is going to be good so it may not be as immediate need as we think

I think you guys are correct, I believe the coaching staff knows what they are doing and we must have deeper underclassmen depth then we who post on here know about.

David Blough will be a coach someday. Would love to see him on this staff, grow into a future replacement for CJB
