If we can't do that, hire from the Boeheim tree. Guaranteed NC!
Kidding aside, what the 'Cuse did so far is impressive.

I know this post is a joke. But the way Syracuse handled that whole suspension. Really not a team you wanted to see make this kinda run. With the early suspension issues. This was a much better team then a 10th seed at end of season. I will say I don't like zone defense. But what Boeheim does is pretty smart. His trademark is a 2-3 zone defense. Which any team can play. But Boeheim runs it into the ground. He recruits players specifically to play this zone defense. Historically big guards with long arms etc... Syracuse play's that zone and get's back on D into that zone as quickly as possible.
Shocking they made it considering I thought the ZAGS had them beat. Virginia had them beat at halftime.

I'm not suggesting he didn't coach a great game; I'm only pointing out that there were things people thought Painter did wrong that both Boeheim (no foul) ad Bennet who had a team collapse against a press. VA even collapsed after they beat the press and couldn't finish.
Once Syracuse got up six, they started milking the clock.....and almost let UVA back all the way with a few empty trips.....but UVA was totally befuddled the last four minutes.......tough way to get knocked out......that's for sure.
Why would he downgrade? Purdue athletic department is a mid major quality program. Horizon league quality with B1G schedules.
The NCAA should have given him an early retirement
How the NCAA allows it. Protect the name programs. It's like you have to hire strippers for high school kids or something to get punished for anything these days.
There was 2 much time left to foul. The press changed the momentum of the game. Like I've always said with CMP.... We don't need to zone and press instead of man to man, just mix it in when needed. That's what JB did. He said they can't press for more than 2 min., but that was all they needed. It completely changed that game. Great coaching move.

I don't want another Purdue guy as our next HC. I want a complete change in culture And philosophy.
yea, let's hire a guy who was suspended for only 9 games this year, covered up the Bernie Fine situation, left his wife o 25 yrs. for his secretary, and has a 14% grad rate for his players.
Clearly you don't understand the prevailing whiny "Just Win" mindset.
1) nobody cares about graduation rates. Do you know Purdues?.....I didn't think so.
2) what a coach does in there personal like is none of our business.
3) while he was suspended, he wasn't given a death penalty. I'm no saying 'cheat to win', but I don't think Boheim gets to the FF and wins NCs by cheating.
