At least for Pitt. Let Dixon walk and now they have a massive upgrade in Stallings. I see Final Fours and NCAA Championships in their immediate future!

It's all about the choice made. They didn't make a good choice. Purdue's next AD might make a good (or great) choice. Would you prefer Cuonzo Martin, Rick Ray, Paul Lusk, and so on just because you're more familiar with them? Do they make you feel more comfortable and safe? That's not what leads to ultimate goals being accomplished. Would you prefer Stallings if it doesn't work out at Pitt (since he's from the Keady coaching tree)?

I prefer someone who I know absolutely nothing about. That seems like the most risky option and we all know we want high risk because that equals high reward!

It's called research. Learn about coaches that you don't know about if you want to know more about them. You can do that or you can settle for mediocrity with familiar faces that remind you of the times Purdue basketball was winning B1G titles but still losing when it mattered most in the NCAA Tournament.

Why would I do that? That is less risky and I want more risk so I can have more reward.

The next AD should put the names of all North Dakota high school coaches in a hat, then pull one out. That's our new coach. It's risky, for sure. But you know what they say...

Come on, those season long, grind it out, Big Ten titles matter too.

I don't understand that higher for PiTT at all. KS has to be in his late 50's. Defiantly on the downside of his coaching career.
