It is racist. There is no "black perspective". Just like there is no "white perspective". If there were, that would mean that all racial groups think alike. That is a racist concept.

I'll answer your question with a bit of Zen. First, the GOP mayor, and some independents, would toughen up on crime, beginning with drugs, gangs, and even petty crimes. It's what's done in those cities where there aren't 70 shootings a day as in Chicago. They'd crack down on the high crime areas, putting in more cops...making it harder to for dealers to survive and thrive as they're allowed to do in Chicago.
My question to you...if you and other blacks are tired of the black on black crime, why not try a non Democrat mayor and council.
Blacks, are creating and perpetuating their own crime wave....electing the same people all the time and expecting different results is the mark of insanity. Why not let the cops know where drugs and guns are and who is dealing in both?

I keep telling you, you can only help people that want to be helped. We’ve discussed this before and I thought you and I came to an agreement about unwed mothers. But there are still gang members that have 2 parents in the home. The narcotic drug trade is what the gangs are fighting over.
As far as Elder and Owens, if they were slaves on a plantation and they heard that some other slaves were planning an escape or rebellion, they would go straight to the slave master and tell him of the plan.

Lightfoot neutered Chicago cops. This is well known. Same way Deblasio neutered New York cops.

Crime, murders are going to be bad no matter who is in charge. Actually trying to be tough on crime in the early 1990’s and 2000’s kinda led to this surge in violence in recent years. In Chicago in the early 2000’s they jailed most of the high ranking gang members. Murders were bad but they had better control over the low ranking members. The murders seem to increase after these guys were sent to prison. During the same time, Chicago tore down a lot of the housing projects including the infamous Robert Taylor homes across the highway from the White Sox. Now these folks are now all over the city, particularly on the south and west sides in rival territory.
The Chicago cops neutered themselves when all hell was breaking loose in the streets during the riots, the Chicago cops were caught on surveillance tape sleeping in US Congressman Rush’s office and eating up his food.
Decreasing murders 25 years ago, led to today's murder rate. Um OK...whatever.
Democrat politicians stood and cheered as cities burned and the year long war on cops went on. Now they are starting to figure out that wasn't the brightest move. Lightfoot is far from the only one to blame. LA mayor and NYC were even worse than Lightfoot.
I didn't say that the murders decreased. I don't know one way or another. I just heard different theories in previous discussions on how it got to this point.

If single motherhood and a culture of violence is so prevalent in the many black communities, what are people in black leadership doing about it?
I don't live in the big city anymore, but even where I do live, it's blacks killing blacks in the hood.
These are the same blacks that end up getting engaged with law enforcement because they've been brought up in a culture and environment where rules don't apply and violence is the way things are settled.
Man, you are kind of dense and like to go down the same rabbit holes. I told you over and over there is nothing black leadership can do, obviously because they have been trying fit decades. These people have to help themselves.
So, you just give up and let the culture be what it is? Let this cycle of poverty, violence, teen moms, lack of education and govt dependency continue (I know that's what the democrats want. Actually, this might be all part of the plan).
