Sounds like party before country. And yes it’s concerning. It’s concerning that an opposition party has such bad ideas that their only hope is to get a toxic candidate elected. Do you how much 1 million in ad buys and mailers does in a congressional race? Why not have Hassan face Morse and debate her votes and positions against true conservative from an established candidate? Because you know your ideas would lose.

But this is just an extension of long time Democratic playbook of straw candidates to elect machine pols. E.g how did Madigan continue to win in a heavy Hispanic district? He would pay Hispanics to run to dilute the Hispanic vote and talk bad about the other Hispanics. And congrats to the destruction of Illinois. But Maddow don’t teach you history does she?
I'm agreeing with you, so I'm not sure why you're melting down here, Joe. Calm down, my god.

But, you know, let's not gloss over that both parties do it. I mean it's not a secret. I hate the strategy because one should run on his or her own merits, but you know, Politics 101.

And Maddow 'don't teach' me anything, thanks.

I have an idea: why don't you move to one of these utopian society countries that you describe, live there for 10 years, move back to the US and write us a book report about your experience.
An idiot answer from an idiot.

Yeah, the Progressives just love social engineering experiments, if it benefits them and their horrible policies….If this country is so bad why do some many people risk their lives to come here illegally?
You're completely missing the point, SD. Look, I'm not saying I agree or disagree with what gets proposed, but you're sitting here acting like we live in some utopia. We don't. But no one is advocating that we become Norway. Not one person. That's just what YOU have been led to believe because someone brings up one policy which you then umbrella out across everything. That simply isn't true, and you know that.

Oh please. They both put party before country to one degree or another. Neither side has much high ground here.

You actually gonna make that argument against democrats when trump tried about five different ways to stay in power? Gtfo

Ya think the “toxic” candidate might have had some bad ideas? Why would the dems even consider such a hair brained idea if the MAGA candidate wasn’t so extreme?

Like everything else with you guys. It’s not us doing it, it’s them.

That’s cute. I’m guessing our intel agencies take this a little more seriously.

Since you didn’t actually talk about the topic in yet another one of your novels, do you think trump can declassify simply by thinking about it?
Bob, it is fine to take it much more serious if you desire. I have no idea if it will be a problem or just how serious the problem is. I have other problems that I know are real that are serious. Those hold my concern. Perhaps, Chump already shared nuclear secrets, already copied and sold top secrets? This can play out and could be more serious than all the things the last 6 years and if you and others consider it even more serious than the unarmed insurrection, who am I to say you are wrong? I just have many other issues that we know are true that worry me much more, but that doesn't mean you need to share my concerns, nor me share your concerns. Just consider me a fool to be concerned with the things I am, you won't hurt my feelings. I'm not concerned you don't share my concerns. It's okay...

Love how conservatives always bring up the diversity angle. As if the right wing's intolerance toward minorities is a legitimate reason not to implement strong safety net policies. Regardless, there's a discussion to be had about how far to go on a safety net, that's very different than your claim that the goal is to implement a dictatorship and/or turn the US over to a world government authority.
Actually, inclusion is fine and should be sought, but "seeking diversity" is actually doing those things that supposedly the people "seeking diversity" are against. It's a pretzel logic type of thing...

If you start a G0Fundme for your moving expenses, I'll make a sizable contribution.
Tell you what, bone. Just start funneling the money to me that you contribute every time you get a desperate email from some right wing grifter and I’ll happily continue the grift with your donation. I’ll also lie and tell you I moved since you’re so easily duped.

They are not in charge. They are barely relevant in their party.

I get the socialist thing. I don’t agree that’s their intent but at least the progressive agenda has some similarities if you choose to see it that way.
But the dictatorship accusation is pure projection. Both parties want to be in control, but only one side is taking clear steps toward authoritarianism. Only one side is trying control people’s private lives. Only one side took clear action to stay in power and nullify an election. Only one side has a leader that, by his own words, thinks he can do anything he wants as president.
Not so fast. Sen Warren is leading the charge in flagging credit card gun purchases.

I’m not melting down I am disproving your statement about republicans supporting these candidates. I can give you a list of recipients that received part of the 55 million. Give me a list of Dem candidates who received large support from RNC.

DNC knew that Hassan would lose to Morse so they spent millions on lies about Morse. Same thing in PA governors race.

Think about it. Your ideas you promote are so bad you have to spend 55 million to protect them from open debate. That’s what should scare you.

Ok.
You’re a fool.
Apparently you’re not concerned the current frontrunner to your party’s nomination thinks he can declassify documents like a freakin Jedi.

On the surface, you make jokes and play it down. Classified documents don’t rank high on the list of concerns for most people.

But that’s not the problem…….and you know it if and when you allow common sense to find it’s way past your politics.
The man that says and believes such things shouldn’t be a position to make decisions that affect me or any other of the 330 million citizens. For the life of me I don’t understand how that’s not an issue for you. Whatever your concerns are, the president can affect them. He can affect EVERY concern in the country.
Just keep dismissing the crazy he demonstrates every day. He’ll tell you what you want to hear to stay sufficiently outraged.

Did you hear the FBI was looking for Hillary’s emails at MAR? It’s true.

They have the plan because their record and ideas are so bad that they must pick the weakest opponent.

And what does Trump have to do with my argument? I am the one arguing for Morse who was not the Trump candidate. He was Sununu’s.

And show me 55 million in election meddling in a mid term by the RNC.

LOL that you call it election meddling. It's politics, Joe. I don't agree with it, but it's politics.

I'm frankly more concerned that your party can't quit Trump and is unable to find a viable, even somewhat moderate candidate. Instead it embraces his lunacy, which you refuse to even distance yourself from, and lets it keep growing. Clean your own shit up first.

What am I distancing myself from? You must have me confused with somebody and who he endorses or not is none of my interest. Elections are binary choices and no doubt some of the candidates your party carried across the line will win. They are already up and shit and getting better the next 2 months.

But me thinks that MAGA republicans aren’t the great threat that you and others claim because if they were there is zero chance anyone who is patriotic and democracy loving would even risk this.

But when you don’t have accomplishments you sell fear.

I’m pretty realistic about what Biden is doing and it ain’t all good.

YOU and yours want to completely ignore trump. Are you hoping he’s going to change or just go away…….because you see it. Maybe you just can’t admit you support a compulsive, narcissistic liar. Just don’t talk about it.

Typical cricket.

I see the similarities between Trump and his sympathizers. They'll talk all kinds of smack, but when things get more serious, they can't even answer a simple yes/no question ("Do you think Trump, or any President, can declassify simply by thinking about it?").

You can see it in court, both after the election, and currently with the Mar-a-Lago documents. Outside of court, Trump and his cronies will talk tough, spew all the crazy conspiracy theories as facts, but once in the courtroom where lies or unfounded statements have consequences, what they actually present is entirely different.

Like Sidney Powell, big talks about election fraud with the Dominion machines. But when faced with defamation lawsuit, she just said no reasonable would think her fraud claims were facts. Similar with the pillow guy.

And sadly, there will be idiots who believe in these crap, which is what led to the Jan 6th farce.

Pretty sure Trump will never win the popular vote. But last I check, Presidents aren't elected based on popular vote. It only takes enough crazies in the swing states to get Trump in the WH again, and we've learned there are quite a number of Q-Anon crazies.

Will the Republican Party of Lincoln or Reagan please take a stand? Unfortunately all I am seeing are Republican lawmakers sucking up to Trump. Those who stood up against him, like Liz Cheney, got ousted.

TDS is alive and real

Sigh, the same TDS excuse. It seems the real TDS is to keep accusing others as TDS any time one cannot defend Trump.

Look, no one wants to talk about Trump, but then when he freaking took classified documents to MAL and refused to return it after the US has been asking them back for months, and it got in the news, people have to talk about him.

When he gave crazy statements like "I can declassify documents just by thinking about it," well, people have to talk about him. We have to, because if what he says is true, that totally changes how our democracy works. Presidents will have an insane amount of power. It will affect all of us.

So don't blame other for TDS when he is brought up. You don't see people bringing up Bush or Obama because they, like many other Presidents before them, just stay out of the spotlight for the most part once they step down. They don't spew crazy sh!t. They don't take classified documents with them. That's why people don't need to bring them up and talk about them.

I've asked a simple question how can a President declassify documents just by "thinking about it", and yet no Trump supporters give me a straight answer how this is not nonsense. They can't defend what Trump said, so they went with the playbook, which is to accuse others of TDS.

What are you proud of Biden for? Being obsessed and afraid of Trump returning is TDS not the voters who voted for him and would like an alternative like Desantis

Biden restores the respect the global community towards America. He is able to unite Europe and support Ukraine to put Putin in a very bad position. What would Trump do? He wouldn't even dare to speak against Putin. The way he sided with Putin over America's intelligence at Helsinki was the most embarrassing thing I've seen from an American President on an international stage. Putin was happily waiting for Trump to piss off all our allies, or even withdraw from NATO. Thankfully, Trump was defeated, and Biden was able to help stop Russia's advance.

Look, I think Biden is very wrong to forgiven student loan without Congress' approval. That isn't how democracy supposed to work. I am not afraid to speak against it. Yet, when Trump said nonsense like "declassify just by thinking", all these people who accuse others of TDS bit their tongue. That's TDS. They let Trump affect their judgment. If Biden says the same thing, "I am President. I can declassify documents just by thinking," I bet you will come out and ridicule him for dementia. This kind of hypocrisy is disgusting.

They truly want a socialist dictatorship and want to foist their cynical, calamitous policies on the American people. They want a world government and to take control of our nation away from our nation and give it to bureaucrats and judges in far away places.
No, I don't think they want that, just as I don't think many Republicans want Putin-lite (Trump) to be an autocratic leader for this country.

But the fact of the matter is, the world is going more global. We aren't going to isolate more and turn attention inward more in the future. There are issues that can only be resolved globally, not just by taking care of our own shit. Migration is one problem, and the root of the migration problems in Europe and the Americas is unstable, autocratic governments in other countries. Border security matters, but as long as there is impetus for people to leave places like Venezuela, Honduras, Syria, and now Russia, migration is going to be a problem for the destination countries.

You don't solve that by building a wall and MAGAing your way out of it.

They're called "Wingnuts" for a reason.

What do YOU think is the desired endgame for MGT and other election-denier QAnon "Republican" asshats?
